P4p

i worry that its too easy to get into.. if i had kids here and had a daughter.. that would really concern me..

it seems too easy to make lots of money doing this (of course i could be way off the mark) whereas they may have been happier long term with a more traditional job had they put the effort in at school, stuck at it, good attitude etc

im sure there are students selling their bodies in every country though..

I'm with @User#8628 on this. The attitude you are expressing seriously victimizes the women who do sex work that brings pleasure to many many men and who contribute to a better, safer and happier society. To a lesser extent it victimizs their customers as well. I truly detest this all too common view of p4p. Bleah!

We would all be better off if it were easier and safer and more lucrative to do sex work imo.

Im quite chatty when I'm with SWs.
I like to find out a bit about them and what brought them to this situation where we are in a hotel room together.

I've had some quite deep conversations. Only once have I felt that the girl was in a bad situation and needed help. Sad to say that while no sexual activity happen in this case, I didn't actively do anything to help her.

@danthrope I have a 19 year old daughter. I do worry about the ease of sliding into the P4p world but we are lucky enough to have enough money that she is not racking up student debt etc. I do see your point however.

I do see Japanese as a lot more pragmatic than those of us brought up with Judeo-Christian values.
I think it is one of the reasons I function better in Japan.

I'm no expert but it seems a lot easier to transition into and out off the industry in Japan.

thanks kegger, yes I was coming from the perspective of a father

when I am with a provider I make it a point of pride to behave as a gentleman.. Im worried that not all men behave the same way

Depends on what kind of shop. If it's expensive they are more selective but like i said, we are wanted, demand is high, especially for new faces (because guys like viarity and if they find a good agency they'll probably try a few different girls there) so places are eager to requite cute girls, they even pay scouts to introduce girls.

And don't forget - girls will rotate shops to get the 'new face' bonus. New girls always get promoted as the new pickup when they join a shop. They'll see a bunch of clients that think she's really new and then she'll move on after a month or so. This is more prevalent in the MILF/Wives shops since it's harder to nail down repeating clients.

On my side I am kind of loyal. It would be a shock for me if Kaori would leave AM. :'(

If your worry about a (hypothetical) daughter becoming a sex worker are due to concern about it being dangerous or unpleasant for her, that is different from what I was imagining and is of course a normal feeling for any parent. However, if that is the case, you should have even more negative feelings about her doing many other jobs which are more, much more in many case, dangerous and/or unpleasant and typically also much less well paid. For example, if it is only about a daughter's well-being, imo you ought to much prefer her being a sex worker (and certainly an upscale escort) to her being, say, a police officer or in the military.

Only you can tell us what is in your heart of course, but when I read your previous post, I had the feeling that you were expressing the general social stigmatization of sex work, that it is somehow worse or "beneath" nearly any sort of conventional work. That stigmatization is the view I so detest; it is (obviously) hurtful and disrespectful to sex workers.

your feeling was right and i wimped out and changed what i actually meant haha

what i meant was that work is your chance to give something to the world, to develop and push yourself, to gain confidence and overcome challenges.. i have little to base this on but i dont think sex work gives you this chance to develop.. i dont think it is the best use of many of these bright young womens talents.. i am not really convinced it is a force for good in the world either

i would buy that it is "helping people".. but if you wanted to do that, then a doctor/nurse/psychiatrist/sex Councillor would be a better choice i expect

of course, for the escorts here its a great way to become financially secure and then you can go do what you are passionate about.. but i guess its tempting to just keep doing it and not pursue that inner talent you have.. and the escorts here are at the top of the rung (or close).. not so great for those at the bottom..

expressing this view in this forum is not likely to make me many friends.. its my basic thoughts on it though .. no disrespect intended, im grateful to the SWs who took great care of me

While I very much dislike the opinion itself and think that it hurts people (as per my previous posts), I have to respect your honesty in expressing it explicitly and clearly.

i suppose there are people whose "inner talent" is making love / physically caring for people in which case it may be truly the best career

I gained so much confidence through this and i think it overall improved the way i think of myself and look at my body so much.
I'm not sure about development.. I feel like i'm becomming a better and better partner in bed and its nice skill to have. Also working hard in bed and walking to appointments in the area a lot improves condition and figure and feels much healthier than an office job.
Its quite monotone though, despite meeting super interesting people, so i'd like to touch other aspects and practise other skills. I get to pracise one to one conversation as an escort but i'd like to try kyabakura to become better at social settings and conversation in general.

It's not for everyone but i feel like this really suits me and i'm pretty sure i make a better use of my skills as a pretty and sweet escort than typing stuff out day by say in a horribly boring secretary job. Of course there might be other jobs that would suit me but this is definitely one of the best and most enjoyable ones, both for me and my clients.

If you think escorts don't are of that much help and that much good for the world then why did you book one? Sure you felt like you needed the help.

Surely not all girls in the business (sadly) but then again, so many people are working in other industries while its not their true passion and they have more talent for other things. At least sex work also gives some people a chance to pay for their study or safe up for a company and practice their real passion later.

For me i've been interested in this kind of work since i reached puberty (around 13 years old, but dont worry, i definitely waited it out until i was an adult) and its certainly something i feel passionate about.

True enough, and neither is being an upscale escort or working in a shop...in wonderful Japan.

I've seen "police woman" cosplay options at some shops but never a JSDF costume. Come to think of it this could be a missed opportunity, I think I'd rather be serviced by "sexy soldier girl" than "sexy police woman".

EDIT: @Yuma you wouldn't happen to have a set of JGSDF BDUs would you?:love::D

People having different opinions about sex? Colour me surprised!

But seriously, sex is such a personal and intimate act that it's no surprise that people have different opinions and thoughts regarding it and anything related to it (i.e. pornography, escorting). I'm a on the fence type of guy who tries to see both sides of the picture, so I totally get where @danthrope and @User#8628 come from and think you both have valid points. But personally if the girl is in the business on her own terms, I don't see an "issue" with it.

Back to @Tuffstuff95 original post.

Are there any more women (as a %) in Japanese p4p industry than elsewhere.

I say this as I've been in 4 airports in the last 2days, and at each one there were an extreme amount of hot young ladies working. Almost everyone would make a killing as a SW.

I heard one in five Japanese girls has tried it, but they included jobs like kyabakura in those statistics.

I'd say its here probably less than in some poor countries but maybe more than america (?) and more local girls than in west europe (where its mostly east europeans).

Probably not. I am just interested in the Japanese scene since I am not from here.

I believe the figure you refer to is for all "mizu shobai" work - which includes hostessing, kyabakura, bartending and cocktail waitressing.
