I think the last sentence of the second paragraph is dead-on accurate and explains a huge part of the special charm of the commercial sex world in Japan.

I have heard that name before, somwhere in the past. Then again, I've only been in Japan for five short years. I admit I am still green around the collar when it comes to this industry.
