Just a suggestion: if you PM someone and you expect a reply, you should make sure that your profile permits this. Otherwise, replies will be rejected.

I just want clarify one point:

PMs are blocked for new users until they've verified their account and have made some posts.

This purpose is only to block bots and others who just sign up to send ads via PM.
