Hello fellow TAG members!

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. After reading a review here on here I was looking to book with a provider but they have asked if I could send them a copy of my ID. This is the first time I've ever been asked such a question so I'm not sure of this is standard practice or not. Has anyone else had this experience or is this something to be careful of?

Yes, it seems some independent girls are asking for ID nowadays. To each of his own and only you can decide what you feel comfortable doing but personally for me that is a game stopper.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll give it a miss if it's a deal breaker.

you weigh the pros and cons ... I haven't had any problems with the indie girls that asked for an ID ... ex-JBlair and Sayuri whom I've met more than once.

but giving a copy of an ID pre-meeting is a big deal to me. I know some girls use it to screen clients but there is a big potential for information misuse or leakage.

Keep in mind you could also probably find a girl of the same class/caliber and doesn't ask for an ID :)

I've met ladies that wanted to see my ID **on the day of the meeting** but I have never sent anyone a copy of my ID before a meeting (nor has any girl asked me that).
... and honestly I think it's very fishy. Would the lady also accept to do it?
After all clients take risks too

This ID thing got me thinking a little.
Not sure who takes the biggest risks

Would male escorts ask for id/screening info from female clients?

Would female escorts also ask the same from female clients?

I thought the ID thing is partly because males already have the upperhand in terms of strength etc.... So in terms of physical risk, its higher for the provider? Is it just there in case something untoward happens to the girl?

This is a very normal thing in the US. Some providers in Japan also do it but most dont, since things are less dangerous here.

There are a lot of trustable girls who wouldn't misuse the information, but you can never know for sure, and indeed misuse might surface not immediately.

Not sure if a male escort would ask for ID but I wouldn't be surprised if they do so as well. But yeah, the whole point is that the escort will have some info on their client just in case something were to happen. Not necessarily physical abuse either; I would think theft would be a higher and more common risk.

Clients definitely can also be the victim as well, but at least with us there's a chance that we can locate the escort through his/her ads and contact info that you already have on them should it become necessary.

exactly ... too bad we don't know more about the escort mentioned. if she's a BP escort I will be very very very cautious ... compared to established indies that have a good following/good reviews/etc.

This is a very normal thing in the US.

a mostly touring escort would also probably do it ... Riko Suzuki requires it.

or an escort touring to a new country.

Alice. There are indeed indies in the US who ask for ID but it is by no means the norm. More often they will ask for references if you are a new client. Also the fact that there are verification mechanisms like P411, TER White List, etc makes need for ID uncommon.

I would be happy to show identification on the day itself in a public place (say, the lobby of the hotel) but I can't recommend you send a copy of your ID over or allow its image to be taken in any way.
