Ok, so I haven't done HTML coding (or any coding for that matter) in about 20 years, so I would rather not have to relearn coding just to put together a basic website.

My friend suggested I make my website using an html editor, but I'm searching online for html editors that will allow me to create a website using templates?

I'm seeing a lot of different editors and I'm wondering if there are certain html editors that are better to use?

Waste of time...

Unless you are building a platform specific website with actual functionality that isn't provided from current turn-key providers, then it's a waste of time.

Deploying a website with Wix, Wordpress or other existing CMS platform is much more efficient than reinventing the wheel.

That said...

I use Notepad++ for HTML, basic editing.
But my full IDE platform of choice is PHPStorm, which handles everything I need to ever touch professionally.

If you build a HTML site on your own, it will lack the structure needed for your 'SEO' desires as well as mobile display handling.

If you really want a WYSIWYG HTML tool, then try this free one:

Basic principle here is - If you're not in the market to be a web developer, don't. Use the tools that are available to you for free or a nominal cost. Spending time doing something like this probably takes away from what you are REALLY doing.

Just my 2 yen.

You should outsource guy & concentrate on the business. The basic questions you have about making a site means you waste valuable time that could be put into the business plan or service.
+1 - He said it better.

I like vi.

I like FFVI too. It is probably my favorite or at least tied with FFVIII. Yes, I'm just being a dumbass.

Speaking of RPG's...looks like someone just got a level up! lol

But in all seriousness, I agree fully and I'm just going to use a template and not waste any time on coding everything myself.

I created all my websites with BBEdit (Mac) have around 50 blogs wich all generate ad revenue for some extra passive income.

For windows users check out:
Aptana Studio 3
Arachnophilia
Bluefish
CoffeeCup

If it's for your business I wouldn't bother at all. Just hire a professional to do it. Save yourself the headaches. If it's just for fun or a hobby just google some free wordpress templates. There are lots of free premium templates out there.
