Rent-A-Girlfriend (kind of) - not sure where to post this

So, I have seen an article elsewhere that discussed a "rent a girlfriend" concept operating in Japan.

This is kind of what I am looking for - but maybe a bit more involved (or maybe not).

What I am looking for is someone - specifically a female/lady someone - to practice speaking Japanese in a variety of settings.

I would compensate for time, but would like to go hiking, eating at a restaurant, maybe a museum, etc.

I thought about that scene in the first season of The Expanse where one of the police officers learns to speak "Belter" from a Belter prostitute.

At the end of the day, that would be fine, but I prefer a rate that did not include any sexual service - I am in no way opposed to that (obviously, I am here), but that is not what I am looking for in this particular instance.

So, are there any options?

Most of the independent escorts do provide social time in their price list and in general I feel it is very easy to negotiate a rate that doesn't include any sexual services with any working girl.

At least as long as you do not expect that rate to be lower than their normal fee.

Use italki for the conversation. Maybe go on Craig's List or where ever to ask for a hiking or dinner buddy. Go to City Heaven for the one hour sex friend. Stop looking for the unicorn that'll do all three.

Hi, thank you for the response. Using italki doesn't work for me due to its online nature. I honestly didn't know that Craig's List was a thing in Japan.

I am not looking for a unicorn to do all three. Or at least, I don't feel like I am.

My primary goal with this question is to find someone to do hiking and/or dinner while engaging in patient conversation with the intention of me learning.

My "last resort" would be to get as much "patient conversation" from a sex friend - but again, what I am seeking in this thread is the conversation and not the sex part.

I guess mainly for comfort. Speaking with a strange dude isn't near as comforting to me as speaking with a strange lady.

However, I am sure there could be exceptions, but all of my (very limited) attempts at learning currently have been with lady instructors.

Just a comfort thing - although again, probably anyone who could be patient with me would be fine.

I completely relate to this. I have a hard time talking with dudes unless I know that they have similar interests. Women usually are more conversational, at least from my experience in the US, maybe not so much here, so it's easier to keep a flow going.

Just do a language exchange. Loads of girls on there that want to be friends with a gaijin and hang out but arent pretty enough to gave a queue of guys willing to spend time on them.

If you are just seeking normal rent-a-X service for language practices then I think there are plenty of them nowandays. Whether they will accept bookings from foreigners though that's another question.

Any services with adult sexual stuff in mind are going to be under fuzoku banner and strictly regulated so very different services / industries.
