I think I read somewhere that it's not really as bad as people think it is. They apparently have two laws that concern domestic violence, one for harsher beatings and one for like getting slapped across the face. They were both considered felonies, so this bill was about taking the "face slap" variety and bringing it down to a misdemeanor or something like that.

That would be fair , especially since in not-so-rare occasions it's the wife that gives a face slap to the husband... at least in Japan I can confirm such horrors do happen!

I, too, can confirm the horrors in the report of wives in Japan slapping their husbands. In my case it's almost daily. And she blames me...justifying her brutality as a response to something I said. Something about I "say one word too many," or playfully call her my
"chisai kaba." Imagine that!

Oh guys, you gotta know I'm full of unchi much of the time. My wife is actually in decent shape, otherwise I would never be so cruel to make fun of her weight just out of consideration for her feelings. As it is, both of us take it as a joke. She has such good humor about my teasing that she presented me with a stuffed kaba to take to work as a surrogate for her-something like a 3D photo. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and share.

I've thought about a forum on great relationships, however there are many TAG folks in a great relationship, well at least tolerable, and P4P is a vital part of their lives.
