From a personal point of view, most of the 'good' reports out of Singapore are usually from those that are visiting only.
Give it some time, there should be some feedback from others.

I have had pretty good luck with Sammyboy. Lots of Thais and PRC but some others too...Vietnam, etc. I would just hit up Brix. Or if you want to go down market Orchard Towers. I`ve been to Singapore a couple of times. Geylang is one bet to go since you can choose the place and the girl you want to be with. That said, good looking girls won`t necessarily be the best ones when it comes to FS. They might be tired or whatsover is going on with them.

To me, really down market in Singapore would be Desker Road in the Little India area. No frills RLD catering mostly to the needs of South Asian construction workers. Haven’t been there in ages, though.

Yes, indeed, Batam is a good alternative. Haven't been there in several years, but I do have fond memories of the island. Great for a short escape from Singapore.

Local in Singapore is a relative thing. A Minah who travels between KL and Singapore could be either nationality and it really doesn’t matter. It’s just a legal designation. The best ‘local’ experiences I had when I lived there were with the girls in the upscale spas. They are hot, mostly Chinese Singaporean or Chinese Malaysians.
