Siri, Call the Police..

Well the video was terrible, but the song isn't really that different from a Nicki Minaj song. I've heard far worse.
Please don’t mention that witch’s name in my thread. (n) She did an interview with ELLE Magazine a few months ago and said that sex workers didn’t know their worth and that “it’s okay to keep your legs closed”. Kinda funny and hypocritical when you do this at almost all of your shows:

She is some kind of sex worker to me. Just a different kind.

Wish someone would pull her finger

How? Sex work includes escorts, phone sex operators, strippers, cam girls, sugar babies, etc. What she sells is sex appeal, but almost every famous female music artist does the same.. so that would make almost all of them SWs. A few of them actually supported SESTA/FOSTA.

It goes beyond sex appeal imo. Her lyrics, vids, overall attitude etc are “sex” packaged in a different way (phone sex operator / exotic dancer to millions of people if you will).
I kinda like her btw, but not that much, and in a 2nd degree humorous way. She made me laugh in the Rake It Up vid.

Kinda get it.. but I still don’t like “pick me” women.

She’s made so many songs promoting strippers, dating men for money, and twerking.. so it was shocking to me when I saw her ELLE interview. I used to be a fan, and liked her less popular older tracks, such as “Envy”, “Still I Rise”, and her version of Lil Kim’s “Jumpoff”.

Well, sex sells (especially in rap/rock etc). And it would be weird to promote SW in Elle I guess!

I'm not following music much, but hana's observation sheds an interesting light on the fight between she who I won't name and Cardi B (who was a stripper).

Not sure if i’d get this song on my phone but Cupcakke seems to have a great personality from everything i hear from her.

I was very disappointed in Nicki Minaj. I’m convinced that her recent drop in popularity is because she insulted her core fans (sex workers), not because of her beef with other artists.
I don’t think Cardi is better per se. They are both full of themselves and not too considerate of some groups of people who could possibly be their fans and supporters.
I’ll not let it stop me from singing their music when drunk in karaoke though.

sex workers didn’t know their worth and that “it’s okay to keep your legs closed”.
Obviously other people don’t have the same opportunities as her.
If she’ll tour with me and promote me as a rapper, maybe i will quit sex work, lol (most likely it just aim for a richer and more exclusive clientele).
Your own worth, damn it. She may be working hard but getting famous is mostly luck and there are so many great girls who just don’t make it.

Also, “keep your legs closed” is coming from the same girl who sung “i let him hit it cause he slang cocain” so i’d take that with a grain of salt.

Tbh I don’t take rappers very seriously. But I must admit the day I was introduced to the masterpiece called “lick my d*ck and my s*ck” had been a turning point in my life.
After listening to that song, I met my boyfriend for a date night and attempted to demonstrate what the song is all about. He was very happy in the end.

I’m more of a “how many licks” girl

Sthg I dont quite understand with the MeToo etc movement (which overall is a good thing, dont get me wrong) is how the insanely misogynistic rap world is miraculously immune. Or maybe the lyrics and attitude are so over the top that everyone assume its second degree?

Because I’m dying.

Hey Siri, remind me to:
1. Turn down the volume on the computer before clicking on videos in TAG.
2. Not drink coffee while viewing videos on TAG. :ROFLMAO: (Because it hurts when it comes out of your nose and it's hard to clean off of a keyboard);)

Thanks for the laugh Hana-san! :)
