Street Solicitation in Osaka

Hey all!

So I'm here in Osaka on my second visit to Japan and I'm finding myself staying up a lot later than I did last year. As such, in the span of about a block and a half from Dontonbouri to my hotel I had the exact same conversation with three different women:

"Hey you, massage?"
"Oh, no thank you."
"Wait! Suck suck?"
"Huh? Oh, hah, no thanks."

Two of them were actually very cute! I'm no stranger to coordinated P4P, but these kinds of situations still make me nervous. Like, waking up in an alleyway with my kidney (or worse, my wallet!) missing kind of nervous.

But it's still a little exciting. My question is, if I've had a few too many and my answer suddenly changes to "Hells yeah I want a massage!", aside from running the risk of actually getting a massage, how sketchy are these situations?

I know nothing about this situation - but:
Why not taking the "Midosuji-Line" to "Dobutsuen-Mae Station".....then a short walk (5min) to Tobita Shinchi?
The streets there will make you even more nervous

Considering you actually end up with a real (or not so real) massage joint and not drink-with-beautiful-girls, the risk of your kidney or wallet getting removed from your possession are very very small.

The chances of getting a real massage are pretty much in the same range. Depending on the place and your abilities of negotiation you end up with anything from few minutes of fake massage and an expensive offer for a mediocre hand job to getting a very decently priced full service.

I haven't been there in a while, but there always used to be Chinese massage girls. The girl talking to you is almost never the one going to have fun with you.
Make sure you only have the money with you that you are going to spend and also make sure to agree exactly on price and service before.

As a general rule, STAY AWAY from those shops. Namba is probably the worst place to take a risk on those types of businesses as they tend to be extra shady. I'm surprised they're offering the "suck suck" up-sell out on the street, but those are most likely Chinese shops, where it's basically just an up-sell scam. They usually start off with "massage for 3k," which will be a fucking awful 15 minutes of them lazily slapping your back; after that they'll attempt to up-sell for FS with "young girl" (you never get to see them in advance) and if you turn that down, they'll resort to offering a HJ in the 5k-8k range...which at that point most guys tend to buy. If you just want a (relatively) foreigner-friendly venue to blow your load at with decent-looking girls and no bullshit, just waltz over to Club Amour, maybe a two minute walk from Dotonbori.

I don't know what your language ability is but if you can speak decent Japanese, the Umeda (Osaka Station) area can be interesting late at night and I've blown many loads while wandering through the shotengai, sometimes even inside the shop.

But as another poster suggested, jump on the Midosuji (red subway line) down to Tennoji or Doubutsuen-Mae and walk to Tobita Shinchi. At least there you see before you buy and you know exactly what you're getting.

Other than that, go to Tokyo and have a blast. Osaka just blows.

I walk through them for maybe 6 months when I was in Osaka.
Before midnight they offer massage HE. after midnight they add BJ, after 2am FS.
Not sure in south Osaka but in North you can even ask to look at girl before to give any money.

I made the same experience, but like 2 years ago. If you tell them that you want to see the girl before or leave, they generally agreed. That was nanba area.

I have been too drunk a handful of times and been lured into one of these shops. Usually a big open room with cubicles with curtains seperating and a mattress on the floor. Late at night they all offer FS and though the girls are never the one you talk to on the street, most have been passable for a drunk sloppy time haha. Also ive never been charged more than 10000 yen for 30 minutes. Little shady sure, but still a good time.
