Actually Western/US style strip clubs did make it big in Tokyo for a time, around a decade I guess, but it was some time ago...1990s and early years of the previous decade roughly. Seventh Heaven in Roppongi (still there) was the first and most famous/notorious. Whoever or whatever group owned it soon opened up a chain of them with clubs in Akasaka, Kabukicho and a couple of other places I believe. Plus a bunch of competitors soon sprang up. I'd guess there were 10-12 of them in Roppongi alone and others scattered around. This was before the Ishihara-san crack-down on women with tourist visas (or no valid visa) working in nightlife jobs, and most of the dancers in these clubs worked elsewhere (often the US) and came to Tokyo regularly/repeatedly to "bank" (stripper slang for making a lot of money) for the duration of their 90 day tourist visas. And, to get back on topic, cum-inducing lap dances were routine in these clubs at the time.

Now it is pretty well all either gone or rendered quite mild and lame and not mostly not worth the very high prices (by international standards) they still charge. So, I think @RandomTokyoGuy is right; Japan is not the place to get off from lap dances nor to get lap dances at all. Certain cities/areas in the US and Canada are now probably the best spots.

In case it isn't obvious, I am a bit nostalgic for those days and those clubs where I had tons of fun...though I very rarely came in the private dance rooms, only a couple of times ever I think.
