Does anyone have experience with TRT in Japan? I had to go on it in my home country recently to save my balls due to a health condition. It seems that standard practice in Japan is one injection administered at the clinic every two weeks. My current doctor said it is inadvisable for me to do less than two injections per week. After some research (reddit), some say there are doctors that can be flexible. I also read that its possible to get it shipped from your home country if you do some paperwork and have a valid prescription. Is any of this true? I'd appreciate some clarity on the issue if anyone has dealt with this before.

I know some people who buy it online and then either go to a clinic to get it administered or just inject themselves so it is definitely possible.

Afraid I don't have any experience with testosterone therapy, but when a Japanese doctor and an American doctor give me two conflicting opinions, I ALWAYS go with whatever my doctors stateside tell me. Many years ago I made the mistake of listening to a couple of Japanese doctors regarding what I suspected was a peptic ulcer, and that's how aforementioned ulcer lasted three years (until I moved home and went to a real GI specialist). Don't even get me started on Japanese dentistry. Never again.

1 time every two weeks is the national health protocol. If you go off insurance most doctors will do whatever spacing you want. My friend is getting twice weekly, national health pays for one, he pays out of pocket for the other three.

He’s paying about 15k per month.

The thing in Japan is you get to select and choose your own docs and clinics and everything is covered by the same national health system. Your job is to weed out the "my dad is a dentist and paid my private university fees for all seven years I drank my youth away" and find the good ones.

Great! This is the info I was looking for, thanks.

Yep. My dentist here in the suburbs was a dentist overseas (italy) for many years too. She’s legit.
I have met dangerously incompetent healthcare providers here as well though.
