Tobita Question from Japan-Newb

Hey all,

Am a total noob when it comes to P4P and first time visitor to Japan. Am in Osaka and really wanna try, but don't speak a single word in Japanese. Can I still try or would you not recommend?

You'll do fine. In Tobita, if a mama-san waves at you that's a sign she (and the girl) are willing to deal with somebody who doesn't speak Japanese. The only caveat is if you are, or look, Asian. That could lead to misunderstanding.

On busy nights you might find that not many mama-sans wave at you. For foreigners mid-afternoon is probably the best time to visit.
