What Happened To Tokyo Backpage? Tons Of Japanese Adds There

Today a ton of Japanese adds popped up. Most seem to be DH from Uguisudani, but also other areas. Non with a webpage of course. Is that the rainy season? ;-)
Did anyone already try his luck? Most seem reasonably priced, especially with the discounts in the adds. Posting on Tokyo backpage (even in Japanese) I would assume that foreigners are targeted ... so either scam or some new alternatives.
 
Might just be the KDHs discovered Backpage.

I'm assuming you can track down their website by googling their posted phone number...
 
Well, there have been like 20 adds, but seems all have been deleted already again.
Still had some of the pages open, so here are some of the numbers, may check when

Of the URLs you posted, none of them are KDHs.

They might have also gotten flagged by competitors, etc, which tends to happen on Backpage or Craigslist.
 
Maybe someone is going around telling these venues they can increase their clientele.
 
Your assumptions are correct...those are all scams dude. The places advertised might be legit, but I'm sure whatever they are offering to foreigners will be a bad deal.

Joe, not sure if you read at all. The adds contain nothing but the phone numbers (and some Japanese description of a girl) which leads to the shop and one of the shops putting up an add there has been JK Style which is pretty well reviewed on this board with the general consensus that they offer excellent service to foreigners, even have one English speaking guy. In case of JK Style the advertised this girl http://jk-style.tv/pc/girls/profile.php?girlsid=989 which I din't find a review here yet.
The DH are all over the place, Yokohama, Shinagawa, Otsuka, Hachiijoji, Kichijoji, Shinkoiwa, ... . A lot of places that have little reviewed shop info here. So if like Desktop said and I assume too, they try to extend their customer base, this might open up new opportunities for people living in this areas. That was actually the point of this post.
It's probably not for people who speak no Japanese at all.

On an unrelated note, dude may be a common term to address each other in your circle, but I don't consider it appropriate to address people you don't know.

Alright, I won't call you dude. I was just trying to point out that Craigslist is really shady. I'm sorry for not reading closely enough. Yes, hopefully opportunities do open up in the future.
 
Indeed you didn't, as even the thread title states that it was Tokyo Backpage and not Craigslist ;)
 
I meant to type Tokyo Backpages, but for some reason typed Craigslist instead lol. They are both really shady though.
