As usual, I will start by apologising if this article/topic has already made an appearance somewhere on TAG. :)

Next, a disclaimer: there are a few terms in the article that I don't particularly like, "prostitute" being one of them.
And of course, it's unrealistic to assume that members of humankind can be accurately "grouped". However, my purpose in sharing this article is not to analyse how PC it is.

I would genuinely like to hear everyone's' thoughts on the article I've linked below.

I didn't read it but although I think all kind of men can be tempted to see an escort but I think the less free sex one can have the more chances he has to pay for it.
I'm sure I would have if I didn't have so many free sex partners during these hollydays I'm spending in Japan (more than a month now), things went really beyond my expectations.

Not read the article (yet) but i'm very pleased with my customers.
They are mostly absolute gentlemen. The Japanese ones are mostly busy salary men who have commitment to work and possibly a family so they opt for easy ways. The foreigners are often business travelers who dont have much time and are not familiar with the city, or people who enjoy reading TAG who got interested by my posts.
Also i wouldn't say i meet many very handsome men, but i meet surprisingly many young guys, especially Japanese who have never been with a foreign girl before and are interested.

ahah I'm definitively the newbie. Even after having tried lots of stuff, I still feel like "the newbie". Scary and exciting at the same time, and never disappointed. :) (except one time at a pink salon where I pushed my luck too far)

I'd say for two reasons:

1. It is easy! Finding a gf for some is hard. Some don't want commitment. Calling up an escort is easy and just walk away when the deed is done.

2. There are some smoking hot escorts out there from college students to OL types. (Thailand is a great example as well as Amsterdam. I heard Germany has some lookers too.) From what I have seen, Japan has some really hot escorts too. I met this Filipina at a bar in Roppongi. She was a looker. She offered and I accepted.

Is it right or wrong? That is a debate that will never be won. The pros will argue it's necessity, the cons will argue its immorality and lump all escorts in to the category of "trafficked". Natural selection will claim its victims. Only the mongers and providers will in the end reap. The road is either good or bad depending on the person's capacity to be accepting of carnality.

The real reason for mongering is lazyness! Simple! If you had a hot chic that pleased the hell out of you, mongering would be out unless you were Hugh Grant and with Elizabeth Hurley. The other is pychosis. Just plain old crazy. Cause if you got game, you don't need to pay. Some men think it's charity. I think it was a phase.

Much of what you say is right on.

However, there are times when convenience plays a leading role.
Others just want sex with no strings attached.
Some find it more exciting to visit a pro.
In a strange town, it's the most expedient way to sample the local fare.

I most agree with you about it sometimes being a phase a man is going through. It meets a need not currently being satisfied.

This is a business, although often the money is secondary. For me, I enjoy it. I love spending intimate time with smart, funny men. I care about them and look forward to seeing the few clients that I have. If I hated being an escort, I wouldn't do it.

Not all escorts feel the way Ms. Maxwell does about their work and their clients, but in my quite extensive experience, pretty much all of the best ones do. Guys, these are the ones you should be trying to find.

agree with a lot of what has been said but also would add that good sex / play can be hard to find .. So there is the expectation that a "pro" will be highly skilled..

Not to say that you necessarily think otherwise, but just to make it explicit, imo and experience, the quality of sex in p4p contexts, no less than in np4p ones, depends on both people involved. It is (mostly) not something one person does to another but something the two people do to each other.

Too many mongers feel that paying an escort's fee is the only effort or contribution to the encounter they need to make; everything else is up to her. This approach can be best described by the words "huge mistake".
