What kind of rental phone

Hey guys,

Preparing for my Japan trip.

Asian guy with very little japanese.

When you make a delivery health order, do you ever recieve a text? Like the address of the private apartment or something?

Should I pay more for an android/rental sim where I can use google translate or do you reckon those old flip phones are enough?

I feel like I'm answering my own q haha but just in case (if receiving texts aren't normal) I figured I might ask.

I've only ever dealt with DH places via voice.

Eh they only communicate through phone calls. Both the shops and the drivers will call you. I typically rent a cheap SIM (from shops like https://www.softbank-rental.jp/) and pop it into a spare 3G phone that I have to receive calls. At least for the Style groups, I always call with Skype but let them know my rental phone number and they will call back to confirm and also for the drivers to call when the girls are about to arrive etc or if there are issues.
