Why do you sign a document when receiving a service?

I was reading a review talking about some sort of document being signed before proceeding with the escort:
"The car came by within 5mins close to the hotel. A kind of embarrassing 5mins where the middleman man made me read the documents and sign them on the street. Focus on no penetration & being gentle. "

When does this happen? Is the document in Japanese or is there English too? Anything to be careful about?

After you leave the airport 99% of the documents in Japan will be written in Japanese.
And all conversations regarding P4P will take place entirely in Japanese.
Nothing really to be careful about so long as you do your research and don't break any laws.

Follow the rules, be hospitable with the shop / provider, and you may end up having a great time.

Somewhere in Japan there is some poor fella that goes by Takashi or Hiro that gets sued repeatedly…

I’m just sayin’

I have never, nor would ever, sign a document to participate in P4P. Would never show an ID either unless it’s a Japanese passport that would get me into someplace I couldn’t get into otherwise

ID usually isn't required (ever) but there are some shops that require you to sign an agreement. I think it's very much an exception vs the rule.
I forgot that it was even a thing until it was mentioned here.

I always sign it tokyo JoeBlow never refused :)

I think it was Hipness that used to do that?

I’ve had a place that gave me a “pre-play” info to let the lady know what sort of experience I was expecting and had a checklist of all the forbidden stuff at the bottom.

Iirc Harlem and Barbola gave me a “release” just before I met the lady that was the same thing (don’t do anything that offends her, use a rubber etc) and asked to “make my mark” to which I signed with an X and they were happy with that

Most recently I signed a digital document at both Happiness Tokyo and Yokohama Happy Mat Paradise. No ID necessary and when you sign they confirm the total sum. Never checked what was written, then again Freddie Mercury has enough royalties to pay any fines.

Kirajo at kawasaki requires a signature on the receipt -> think it states the name of provider, time and price

Really?

I used it twice and they ushered me in so fast when I blinked my dick was already inside her.
