Worried about going to jail

Hello everyone,

This will sound like a totally noob question, but I still want to ask,

Since penetration paid sex is illegal in japan, what are the chances of police intervention, if you hire an escort?

Like do the love hotel staff report you, if they know you have an escort as your partner at the hotel ?

please bear with me, I have never hired someone and was curious

Yeah, that is in their standard operation procedure manual. You could probably get a reduced sentence if you go immediately to the closest koban and report yourself as criminal. You have been thinking about hiring an escort and that constitutes as planning for a crime.

Since it's a serious subject, I'm going to treat it seriously, even though OP deserves a bit of ribbing for their inability to use the search function.

If you're going to a hotel? Pretty much zero. If you're going to a shop that's breaking the law, such as most Chinese places, there's a chance the police could bust in and raid the place.

Doesn't really matter for you, since being a customer is not illegal. The illegalities are on the provider end. Customers are, at most, generally questioned and released.

And of course, there's no way for anyone to know the provider intends to perform vaginal copulation, when there are myriad other completely legal sex acts, so the hotel isn't going to care.

Even if you're visiting a touring escort who's tricking out of a hotel room and hotel management figures it out, they're more likely to just ask the lady to find new accommodations. The hotel doesn't want the bad publicity.

The only way you're likely to have any serious police involvement is if you somehow manage to hook up with someone under 18. Then you're in hot water - even if you didn't know her age. Be very wary of young independents. Every so often you do read in the news about some poor schmuck who gets done for having paid relations with a 16 year old that presented herself as 18 on a hookup website.

Licensed shops/agencies are usually very good about checking and verifying IDs, and are generally safe.

Zero! Never worried about it for a second in Japan…that being said I wouldn’t take the chance in my home country…

I've wondered that, too. My guess is the actresses are paid to "appear in a film", which just happens to involve having sex.

Interestingly, Japanese prisons are some of the safest in the world in terms of inmate-on-inmate assaults, sexual or otherwise.

Now, when it comes to guard-on-inmate assaults.... slightly different story.

I just saw an article that stated that Texas in the US is passing a law being tougher on criminalizing anyone who pays for sex.
I could understand the fear depending on where you are from.

Well, considering how the world is working nowadays I think it is a pretty safe prediction to say the stuff is gonna get more illegal, not less. Combine that with the fact that many countries are starting to make their citizens to be punishable for things they do in other countries where stuff is totally legal and that should make anyone from Sweden, Norway or France to feel slightly worried.

Good point. I should change my alias to Swissy , to be cautious. Coz if there is one country which turns a blind eye to all the “stuff” done by some of its residents overseas , that is the good old Confederation Helvétique. Even better if you’re an ex-dictator or drug lord!
