Don't hold your breath. I have a strong suspicion that a plague could wipe out 99.999% of the D.C. population and in the aftermath and rubble, DJT would still be out in the Rose Garden giving a press conference to all three reporters still alive and bragging about how healthy he is. The guy just seems to be untouchable in every sense, and from all accounts I've heard he's almost un-human in how he's able to go about his day.

I mean, it's well known that he's up by 5am every morning, as were most presidents (except Bill Clinton). Yet, just the night before he's seen out on the town having steaks at Trump Hotel till past 10pm and then he's sending out stupid fucking tweets at 2am. That means this guy literally sleeps less than three hours a night. He doesn't drink alcohol. He doesn't work out. He's what, 72 years old now? And yet he can pull a two-hour press conference out of his ass every afternoon and spend the entire time ad-libbing two dozen variations on bragging about himself.

They call him Teflon Don for a reason.

We may have a troubled history (to say the least) with the UK , and BoJo in particular, but this is what many French sincerely think now:

I think todays political leaders all need to go.......and this is a great way of getting that done. Trump and Pence hopefully are next

Meanwhile the overall mortality rates in Europe are lower than in a normal year with the seasonal influenza. That's what happens when you close down everything, traffic accidents, work related injuries and everything else goes down. This year marks also the first year people learned how to wash hands so normal influenza deaths are down too.

I guess the statistics don't yet show the added deaths of excessive wanking at home. I wonder how it's going to be in Tokyo. If the lock-down lasts longer than a month it might be some married couples start to have sex with each other.

I think it may go the other way. Increased levels of domestic violence and divorce rates.

if this fucking Covid had been twice deadly (over a long period) but spreading at a much slower pace, no media and no government would have even noticed

People all over are declaring end of the world as we know it. When we get vaccine for this it's going to be back to normal before we even realize.

Though I am making plans for some serious debauchery when this is over.

Do these statistics have any merit right now? Maybe the main reason influenca deaths are down is because all old people died of corona instead of the flue this year. :nailbiting:

That's exactly what Fauci was saying yesterday. Life will never be normal again...until the day we get the vaccine. And then all of a sudden it'll be like nothing even happened. Americans can go back to their version of normal life: Stuffing their fucking faces, buying all sorts of unnecessary shit online, fighting with each other about Trump and waiting for the Chinese to unleash the next fucking plague on the world.

The sad part is all I've been thinking about is where I'm going to eat when this is over. Probably do a fancy Italian place or steakhouse, maybe a nice pasta or med-rare ribeye with lots of red wine and a nice cigar afterwards. This must be the kind of thing poor kids think about all day during a World War, hiding in bunkers or bomb shelters and daydreaming.

Fucking Middle Kingdom. The CIA should develop a covert operation to infect a millions of bats, snakes, rats and stray cats with human sterilization agents or some sort of slow-acting poison and unleash them all over that country, especially near open markets or restaurant districts. Humankind would owe us, big time.

No Cigar smoking indoors in Japan. Ordered an 8-park of 120 gram Filets to cook at home. (I cook a pretty good steak) Lots of folks around the Planet want China to pay up for this. Trump has already pushed for Taiwan to join WHO plus other little diddies that piss off Beijing to no end. I think this is really the beginning of the end. Hope I get to enjoy those steaks before it happens though.

That sounds pretty good, actually. I'm not a huge fan of filets as I start to lose interest about halfway into a 6 or 8 oz steak, but 120 grams is a good size. Small enough to sear and keep a nice core, get a nice crust and finish before it gets boring. My gas grill doesn't get hot enough to properly cook steaks so I'm stuck paying for it at nice restaurants. Sigh...gas grill at the beach for sunset. Another thing I'm deprived of because of the Chinese. But I wouldn't worry, Xi isn't that stupid. He knows all the bullshit goodwill gestures in the universe aren't making this go away. There'll be hell to pay when this is over.

The one good thing to come out of this is the smoking ban in Japan. I absolutely cannot stand cigarette smoke, particularly when I'm eating. And that's why I don't smoke cigars while in Japan, as I refuse to hang out in a smoking area and it's illegal basically everywhere else now. Get some Cubans, stuff them in my underwear bag and enjoy them back stateside on the rooftop of my condo, after a nice meal with a stiff Hendrick's Gin-Tonic. Follow that up with a nice wank and you've got the perfect evening...although my other half would probably disagree with that.

Where did you read donating? I've heard they are charging hand over fist for stuff. Brazil's not very happy that's for sure.

Those assholes sent 1,000 ventilators (no idea if they actually work) to NYC and tried to make a big deal out of it. The city is on fire right now and they need refrigerated storage containers outside the hospitals for all the dead bodies because China sent half of fucking Wuhan there on vacation and they think they can buy their way out of it with a bunch of cheap, shitty Huawei ventilators. If every nuclear capable country on earth simultaneously launched warheads aimed at coordinated cities all across China, Xi and his government wouldn't have time to think or respond effectively and couldn't possibly hit us all back before The Middle Kingdom turned into plate glass. They couldn't get us all. Probably whack L.A. and NYC but by that time the virus might turn those cities into ghost towns, anyway. I'll be high up in the Rockies, safe and intoxicated. Small price to pay for never having another global pandemic. And MECGA...Make the Electoral College Great Again.
