Shibuya Center Gai Kirari 8pm
Interesting experience, especially as this is the shop with the gyaku-nan aspect where you are behind the magic mirror and the unseen girls choose you. Nice to not have to write up your bio and wasn’t provided with a girl’s bio when going to the room. Barely sat down before I was summoned.20-ish girl, cute in certain light but not worth getting out the wallet. Didn’t have to mention wari-kiri (the code for P4P), as she immediately suggested we could do some “otonanaasobi” and “ichaicha“ (probably kindly thought I wasn’t familiar with the system and spelled it out for me) She clearly stated a price of 1.5 to 2. Slightly tempted, but decided to wait for something better. Went back to sit down but was quickly called up again. Same general type and another pass. Quickly chosen a third time by a quite plain girl who just wanted to go out for a drink, something that might have been on the table but then I had to ask myself why I should pay 5000 yen to take out an average chick just to pay for her drinks? Turned her down.The gyaku-nan system was overall interesting experience as a novelty, but I missed the lack of control with picking your own girls. After that no more requests for 15 mins or so, I moved on to their sister shop on Dogenzaka.

Traditional system with the girls behind the mirror.Some real stunners here. But wait a minute, why haven’t they already been chosen by the other dudes lounging around looking bored? Quickly pulled one in for an interview. Within 20 seconds she blurted out she was here to wait for a friend she was meeting later. Walking back in, I noticed she was talking to the girl she was sitting beside, apparently friends. Another interview with the same results. Lesson learned: girls who come together ain’tgonna leave separately. Time to move to the last Kirari in Shibuya, near Mark City.
Leaving the place I ran into 2 twenty-something guys who had done the same course as me and we headed over together. They were gyaru-o types, both hair salon staff and friendly. They also had several interviews (in the gyakunan place as well) but no luck. It was a nice contrast point as they were only after drinks with some cute girls and weren’t prepared for pay to play. Zero success.

Maybe 6 girls, but nobody to write home about.But wait, this one in the corner is kind of cute. Looking closely, I noticed she was a dead ringer for Reese Witherspoon as a brunette (which may do nothing for you, but it floats my boat) Interview time. A bit shy, but quickly became talkative. Chit-chatted for a few and then got down to brass tacks. She said she was up for play, but was a virgin so no penetration. Not exactly what I was expecting, but she was cute, it felt right and I liked the power of being able to choose a girl myself, so we agreed on 1 man.

Miscellaneous thoughts
*Parts of the movie“Yami kin Ushijima-kun”『闇金ウシジマくん』 were filmed at the Shibuya Kirarilocation. But why in the hell are they advertising it? I saw the movie and all the men behind the mirror were portrayed as perverted akiba otaku who were just trying to screw over the cute innocent girl who just wanted someone to pay for a chat. This can’t be good press for the girls they’re trying to pull in either.
*Had 1 previous visit to MomoCafé in Ikebukuro. Customers were what I imagined, overweight middle agers. Was surprised therefore to see at Kirari a large number of guys in their 30s, as well as a significant 20s contingent, some who wouldn’t look out of place partying in Omotesando.
*What’s with the chicks wearing masks in the rooms? I could understand not wanting to leave behind evidence that could get out and keeping on the mask for the Polaroid, but in the room?? Talk about a rip-off. I guess I could ask for a peek in the interview room, but didn’t bother. Staff made some comment about mask used due to the cigarette smokein the room, though of course no one was smoking.
*Friendly, helpful staff (though Ikebukuro staff were quite pushy). Quite convenient to just hand over the membership card I got at the first place and being whisked in without having to hear an explanation each time.
*Learned to avoid the girls who came with a friend. They seem to be just killing time until the club opens.
*Girls I met fell into 4 categories
-Time killers with no interest in leaving with anyone
-Pros on their day off looking for cash
-Semi-pros who want to be able to choose their partner themselves/don’t want to risk being recognized (come to think of it, the gyaku nan system offers the ultimate protection for them, just in case their uncle strolls into the place))
-“Good girls” for whom sex isn’t an option but will deign to drink with u if you pay.Am curious to see if these can lead to anything worthwhile, or if they just try to fuck off after an hour.
*My previous visit to MomoCafé (same system) in Ikebukuro requested you offer the girls 3000 yen for the basic “outdoor date” fee. Kirari suggests 5000.
*It may be because of the bad breath, but I did get the feeling that standard deriheru service may be a bit more sanitary with the obligatory gargling involved.
*Didn't push it this time, but I got the feeling that your negotiating options expand the later it gets, especially if with a girl who wants to make a quick buck before the last train. Am thinking about offering 5000 for a BJ in an internet cafe next time.
