Interesting question ...

Polish - native speaker;
Russian - fluent;
English - fluent;
German - basic proficiency;
Japanese - basic proficiency.

I consider English to be my first language at the moment, since I've been speaking it for most of my adult life. And I am getting pretty old...

Black.

Thanks for that excellent analysis User#16452. I'm encouraged that making up a whole nother word is okay. BTW 'a whole nother' is often used in spoken English by we native speakers, is it not?But it's a completely bogus phrase.

Fluent: French, English, baby talk, C++, python (last two are getting rusty)
Motivated but really bad: Japanese
Studied long time ago for a long time but never really get it : Spanish
Can talk to a taxi for ten seconds but never really had the energy/motivation to learn it despite six years in Hong Kong : Cantonese
Long time beginner : Love
Looking for partner : dirty talk

First language? I actually have no idea. Between two dialetcts, haha

English here, but it's gotten so bad (at times) after being in Japan so long... picking up bad habits in writing and grammar from reading and trying fix translations.

Another good question - how many people actually physically write in their languages(s)? I can spend days without ever picking up a pen or a pencil to actually write something out.

how interesting! i was trying to find a pen the other day and had to make a special trip out to get one as i have none at home!

Kawagoe ben - fluent
Kansai ben - so so
Okayama ben - still learning

My native language is Spanish! Speak write and read fluently! (y)
But I mainly speak English. I listen to Spanish music to keep me fluent
