No board I've ever encountered likes likes the way TAG likes likes. TAG is producing likes the way Abe-san prints yen...without limit. Like, it is amazing!

Two of us are currently in previously uncharted territory beyond 300 likes in a week, another above 200 and seven in total above 100; it wasn't long ago that no one had hit the 100 mark! I am pretty sure that a bunch of people are at or near their personal all time likes/week highs.

I think all the TAG escorts should follow @User#16452 's lead and give 50% discounts to the like-leader of each week and a standing one to the board's overall lifetime like leader! Wouldn't that be a likable system? :D

Hahahaha, I know what you mean. I usually don't care about 'likes', 'retweets' and whatnot on FB, twitter and elsewhere, but I have to admit to getting at least a little satisfaction getting them here.

And I just checked for fun to see how I stack up against one of my favourites here, TJB

I'm saying that means anything, he was just the first person who came to mind :)

I'm not one to give out 'likes' based on who the writer is. I give them out when a) they answer one of my questions, b) they have a particularly insightful post or answer, c) it makes me laugh or d) I agree with the post in its entirety (there are many people that I wish I could give 'half-likes' to)

It's a delight.
Going above 100 likes is meaningful to me, as a non native speaker and because it's like I reach to some people even with some personal posts.
It's a bit addictive too, and I hope people keep posting "not-so-likeable" yet useful content. I mean the goal is not to reach the highest score, even if the current high-scorers are really worthy of it.
The good thing is that it's a pleasure both as a receiver and as a giver :)

Funny thing is that 98 of your likes came within the last week.
I didn't check my stats, but I have a feeling a lot of people had some sort of new years resolution :D

On the other hand I think lately the post count changed a lot more towards discussion away from reviews etc. and it seems much easier to score there;)

I guess it's not unreasonable for a board becoming more lively to produce more likes. Whether or not that justifies any close to 300 likes in a week for @Wwanderer is of course a completely different matter! :p

You were probably under the impression that Gandalf is more appealing than sexy women then

No, no....it's the computer, not the wizard. All the most active likers on TAG obviously prefer computers to sexy women or men, else they wouldn't be spending so much time hitting the like buttons on TAG instead of being in bed with their lovers! o_O

hahaha very true! In all honesty, I've really only been quite active posting since a little after the new year. I originally signed up as a long time lurker who could no longer view certain areas of the site. I guess the rules changed at some point last fall for some reason. Anyway, I signed up, slowly got sucked in and that's that! hahaha There's a line from Godfather that comes to mind... @John Chavers, clips are your thing... if you could do the honours?

Everyone knows Gandalf is a giant poofter! With a mac seals the deal. Anything you aren't telling us Ww? ;p

It sounds like some of you like based on what a post says. Strange! I like based entirely on the appeal of the poster's avatar! It goes a lot faster that way. :D

Sometimes I inadvertedly click on Alice's avatar : it draws my mouse's attention (guided by my hand it seems).
Counting those kind of clicks, Alice should be above your count :)
Not saying other avatars don't tickle other bodyparts in their own way ;)

Alice's avatar is quite appealing, as are her pix on BP. The fact that she likes many of my posts gives me tingles too. Or is that the vodka? :p

Sometimes my eyes inadvertently stray away from @User#8628 's avatar, and I accidentally see something else on the screen!

And btw, she has been first on the likes during the last week list much of the time recently.

I think the like to post ratio is quite telling, either about the quality of your posts or your like wingmanship.

At the risk of turning this silly and light-hearted thread into an exercise in statistics, I definitely agree. I often find myself calculating/noticing the ratio. For example, you, @User#16452, have been up to about 4-to-1 in weekly likes-to-p0sts ratio recently, which is as high as I've noticed anyone with a significant number of likes making it. @MissInsomnia is sitting at exactly 4.5-to-1 in total lifetime likes-to-posts at the moment...which is quite unusually high I think. As with most such ratios however, the number can be misleading (or, more precisely, volatile) when the denominator is too small. For example in baseball, the best season-long batting average (hits to at-bats ratio) ever achieved in MLB was just over .400 (Ted Williams), but every year there are players who go waaay over that at the beginning of the season (or their careers) when their first few at-bats happen to go well.

There are lots of other stats we could have as well, such as a likes-received-to-likes-given ratio, or number of likes received divided by the number of different TAGers who gave them, or just the total number of different TAGers from who you received likes, or the average number of likes per word posted (@John Chavers might do very well on that one), or most likes received by a single post, or the highest rate of receiving likes etc etc. If you love numbers and math (and who doesn't!?), the possibilities are nearly endless.

Why is everyone looking at me like that?? :confused:o_O

Wow you guys think about this a lot haha. I couldn't care less what my "ratio" or weekly like count is..

Though I have noticed some people who like based on who it is. Escorts reliably rack up the likes, and some of the most frequent johns as well. Makes sense though!

Maaan, like I hope you don't think anyone in this thread takes it seriously, however much they may like it. Like, ya know, I just like to lighten things up occasionally...and lots of others feel like that too. :D

Ahhhh.......for someone who likes to put up ratios/numbers of how many girls he's tried to pull in a day cold you don't see the humor here.......
interesting :p

"There are 3 kinds of lies: Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics."

The above statement made by someone far smarter than myself, reveals I believe, one of the universal truths of the world we live in. Statistics can mean anything we want them to mean. A goal scorer can have a hat trick and say he is amazing and did his job when the team loses 4-3. How each of us focuses on whatever life stats we have only has value to ourselves. The stats that others focus on about others' lives still only has value to the person focusing on them.

If someone here gets value and confidence from their TAG stats, that's fine.
If someone here gets value and confidence from their date to sex ratio, that's fine.
If someone here gets value and confidence form their sex to STI contraction rate, that's fine.

We are all here to share what we know. We know different things. There will be disagreements. But can we all not agree that being happy with ourselves and our lives and how we pursue that happiness shouldn't be judged and shat on by others? So long as we aren't hurting anyone, who cares how the stats add up.

Friendly joking about each others' lifestyles and choices should be encouraged. This endless pursuit of trying to prove to each other that their way, be it PU, p4p, sugar, monogamy, prostitution, etc... is better, is tiresome. It's Tokyo ADULT Guide. Let's try act less like children.

Except when it come to TJB

In an effort to pass a bit more time without doing any productive work this afternoon, I checked out the likes-to-posts ratios for those with the most total likes from this list:

http://www.tokyoadultguide.com/members/?type=likes

@MissInsomnia has an impressive lead with a ratio of 3.78 likes per posts...and thus clearly makes TAG's most widely appreciated posts (to date). Congrats!

@Manami TMK is not too far back in second place with a ration of 3.44. Also congrats!

The rest of us are somewhere below 3.00, many of us far below. I am well below 2.00 for example.

...Or, maybe we can add a Love icon for the extra special posts-something of a like's inflation measure.
