I know, sometimes I wouldn't give Likes to my own posts , to be honest.
But maybe if we were all more blunt about some issues (such as the one mentioned by One Pop, and he's courageous to do so) i would be a bit more "likable" :)

To come back to the topic : P4P can be addictive and destroy your finances (not to mention your health). Well, drinking and eating and gambling and even driving too... and having a wife too...: it's important to keep that in mind!

Yeah, I also ( :eek: ) agree with Frenchy.

I think 10% is a casual dabble. 25% is a healthy extra curricular activity. But once you start heading to 40% - 50%, that's getting into addiction levels. Especially if you're looking at possibly selling off items around the house. Thousands of guys have been there though, and tons have gone completely destitute.

Try taking a personal trip somewhere if you can for a weekend. Like Nikko or something. It might give you a better perspective on how you can manage P4P better, but also fill the void in some other way.

Exactly . The only P4P at 40% which You could afford to tolerate is Japanese taxes and quite frankly it's a bit lousy on the "Play" part of the equation :(

Not really to OP personally, but i cant understand why guys let lust lead them so much.

Spontaneous decisions cost more and make you end up with something much less good.

If i see what guys will pay in a horny mood on upsell but not be willing to pay thats to a more pretty and better service person who is honest with them it makes me kinda sad. :(

The foreign community often complain about being barred from the best mongering spots - in some ways it is a blessing in disguise. Japanese guys can access thousands more places and could go to a different shop every day. Most foreign mongers in Tokyo have a limited number of shops they can access and have probably had disappointing experiences in most of those shops. This keeps most foreign mongers spending in check.

It must be tough being a Japanese guy with the quality opportunities they have....

After a while they get jaded you know (thats for the ones who can afford a no-hold-barred mongering lifestyle , the others dont spend that much coz they dont have so much to spend anyway)

Honestly, TAG is such a useful insight in the male brain. I can say i have improved my service by reading the reviews here. But i still cant really put my finger behind what drives guys sometimes.

I p4p myself once in a while but its more a curiosity thing and nothing i lose a substantial percentage of my earnings on.

Seriously its not that complicated, we are biologically driven to mate as often and as widely as possible. Even concisely we know the sexual union won't result in offspring, the drive is still there. This is also true regarding which warm hole of the woman is being penetrated or other methods. The drive is even there as mens bodies age and we can no longer perform at the optimal level of your youth.

The pitfalls of having a penis. Guys are genetically wired to fuck anything and everything. Have you ever checked out the book "Sex at Dawn"? Really puts everything into perspective. Also helped me realize that women will never really fully understand the sexual desire of a male, and men will never understand some things about women hood.

I put all my coins in a jar and every couple months I count it out and bring it to the bank/post office to be turned into bills. Often I throw 500 yen coins in so it adds up quickly. What this does is keeps me only with bills when I go to the store so often I think I have less than I really do and refrain from buying something that I really don't need. Then at the end of 2 months I have this magic windfall of ¥20,000 I also have a small side gig where I manage a guys web site/server, and that brings me in ¥20,000 every couple months since it's not much work, but it's enough to allow me to have some small pleasures ;-)

I think the biggest thing is budgeting and control. Do you need p4p every night? Every week? Every month. How long realistically can go without it? It's been at least 4 months for me, but I'm saving for my birthday present to myself. It'll be a fun night! ;-)

I'd try to look for non-paying options or try to force yourself to a set budget or only once per month or something like that.
Not living in Japan is a great way to limit your mongering I've found. :p

It obviously varies greatly between people and how old are you and what are you planning to do with the lady of the night, but I am actually using quite much more money per encounter with non-P4P than with P4P.

Of course those encounters are also way longer and way more fun, but if you are trying to save money that might not be the way to go. But I am all with the proposal to set and limit yourself to a budget.

Also I would first see what you can do more with your main job; the side kicks tend not to be great if you really count the time you are using for them. Of course if you do them so much that you have no time or energy for sex then you are all set for savings :p

You might be right. I was thinking more along the lines of "get a girlfriend" rather than just random dates.

For budgeting you could try (at least until your financial situation is a bit better again) to go once a month to Tulip and once a month to Cream Lemon. I know its dreadful even for someone who can speak Japanese reasonably well (i avoid it myself as well) but do try to call them and set up an appointment with the girl you like so you are sure you wont move on to a more expensive shop if they are booked.

This way, you'd spend under 20.000 a month and still have a p4p experience once in two weeks. I know its not that much but with work and maybe some other hobby like non expensive sports or just chilling watching netflix, it would be enough to stay occupied and scratch your itch right when it will get too itchy, i think.

Not just quality....but what other country in the world has 'concept' and 'options' as part of the menu.... Most P4P in the world involves in having sex with a girl, or two, etc.... maybe a massage, maybe a shower....
Yes there are some...but comparable to the # that Japan has? I would bet against it..

I was not thinking about the public pension, but some companies set aside say 1 month of salary every year for an additional retirement lump-sum. If you quit your company to start another job you get the accrued amount when leaving because you "retired" from this job. And in his case I was thinking about paying the surgery, not hookers of course!
