Company New Year's Traditions

I'm just wondering what types of New Years traditions some of you have at the companies you work for.

Does the President give a New Years speech to the employees? Do you have parties with coworkers? Do you send gifts to customers?

Sometimes I feel like these things don't mean anything.

Any thoughts on this?

My president gives the official 挨拶, but there's no substance to these activities whatsoever. Purely ritualistic tradition.

In the olden days people used to send faxes of their genitals to other branches. The Internet killed that tradition though.

For us it's jinja, important customer greetings, then lunch. Only speech at lunch is the toast before we start drinking.
