I'm probably as close to middle of the road in regards to the Pro-P4P versus ANTI-P4P debate as they come.
When me and a few pals were visiting the red light districts in Germany, we had 1 pal that refused to partake of the fun. He was cool though, and he had fun coming along and exploring the places we found. He was a good looking dude that did some modeling and felt that P4P was beneath him. Partially because he prefered the thrill of the chase, particularly when he won.
The rest of us liked the apartment building full of good looking women that we found and could choose for only 30 euros (around $40 dollars). Note- Yes, P4P in Europe is often 5X to 10x LESS EXPENSIVE than the outrageous prices in Japan. We averaged 3 chicks each that same night. Took beer breaks and travelled to other nearby German P4P apartment buildings.
Later that night, a bit of a debate raged about P4P. My opinion, then and as I give it to you guys now, is ROI (Return On Investment).
To me, P4P is only worth if it costs roughly LESS or EQUAL to the amount of money spent going out on a date OR the quality of woman is higher than I could ever expect to usually date.
So, I absolutely refuse 20,000 yen ($200 or more) for average Jane chicks that I could meet walking down the street or online. And, I can usually keep the costs of a date (if I pay for everything and all night hotel) to less that 20,000 ($200 dollars). By the way, damn this Japanese hotel policy of paying for all night after 9pm or 10pm. That's what ends up costing 10,000 ($100 dollars) plus.
And if I was to go above this 20,000 yen limit, best believe, this is an unusually special woman. NOT because she CLAIMS to be, but because this is some semi-famous gymnast, dancer that can put both legs behind her head, or a 175cm plus tall model that everybody would say she is drop dead gorgeous.
Furthermore, there are other routes like swinger/happening bars, where for 20,000 yen or LESS you can do 3 woman in 1 night.
My other issue about P4P, is that buying women all the time can lead to guys having very POOR pickup SKILLS or even withdrawing into a bubble world and being anti-social.
I have a couple of Japanese co-workers that apparently almost ALWAYS BUY women. Consequently, they have no skills and no willingness to talk to women in a social context, unless she is literally drunk with her head on his lap and almost begging for him to take her home. For the most part, they don't want to risk rejection for asking and consider most women not worth the effort.
This mindset, in my opinion, is partially why the sexual frequency levels are so low in Japan. How often will a guy have sex, if it costs him 30,000 yen a pop? I make more money than most, and I would roast my bank account doing that 3x plus a week. The average Joe (or Tanaka
would likely be stuck at 1x or 2x a week for FS. With lots of guys dropping to 1x every 2 weeks or having to settle for only BJs or HJs, and that is damn sad.
The other side of the coin, is if a woman is selling it for P4P, many become gold digging predatory. Men are just ATM machines to be abused. When the average guy approachs her, she is ignoring them or giving the palm, because she is selling herself and normal sex isn't interesting or she is worn out. The exception of course is very popular guys that every other woman wants, and who she will complain about and get angry at "all" men if/when he dumps her because he has so many other options (that go around, come around circle).
I think P4P needs to be placed in the context of how is it making your sex life better? The other aspect, is it can give guys MORE OPTIONS. Like not having to put up with female relationship BS.
The calculation can come out for some guys that it's totally not worth, maybe occasionally, or the greatest thing since slice bread. And that is maybe how you address your pals about it. I'm doing me and having a wonderful time, so different strokes, for different folks.
