1. Yes.Is a quarantine period still enforced?
Are there citizenships blocked from entering the country?
And worst, a lot of visa owning foreigners aren't allowed in either.
Alright... I guess Antarctica it is then.Yeah, it's like the opposite of Hotel California, you can check out any time but you won't get back.
Pretty much the only way is to check @Sudsy's list, find a country that's not there and spend 14 days in that country before flying (directly!) to Japan. And no, I don't think North Korea works.
Trying singing "We didn't start the fire". It works!1. Yes.

And to answer the question, yes two weeks self quarantine is required for people coming into Japan
Mongolia is not on the list AND has direct flights to Japan (I think, not sure)Alright... I guess Antarctica it is then.
Mongolia is not on the list AND has direct flights to Japan (I think, not sure)
You are correct; Mongolian Airlines flights from Ulaanbaatar to Narita every week.
The next problem is to get to Mongolia as they seem to have banned all incoming foreigners.
ok, Cambodia maybe?
Well at least there are people from a few countries who can theoretically enter Japan but refuse entry to the Japanese. Its not just the other way roundCambodia banned foreigners as well. I checked like two weeks ago and there was no Asian country you can currently enter as a foreigner. Many of them had already extended the ban till end of August.
Are you sure you need to fly in on a direct flight?Yeah, it's like the opposite of Hotel California, you can check out any time but you won't get back.

Did that flight last year. You are correct; Mongolian Airlines flights from Ulaanbaatar to Narita every week.

The route I understand still works involves a total of 6 weeks of quarantines (at your own expense) to get from the US to Japan, but does have regular scheduled routes.
Interestingly, neither existing visas or visa exemptions from the US seem to be suspended, so Americans that can find a route in via a third country should theoretically be able to get in on a visa waiver.
has to be direct. Any layover or transit even without leaving the airplane will be subject to rejection of entry into japan
interesting. what’s this route? Going through Fiji or Tonga or whatever island country nobody know?
I heard otherwise, do you have a source for this?
BTW this is a relatively useful source of information
