Loosely we’ll be following the rules for D&D the 5th edition.
The Setting:
"When the day's were long and the nights deep...
A tale everyone knows of the Summer King, chosen at the spring festival this lucky lad rules over the land, served the finest from every crop, waited on by the most beautiful in the land, he holds his title until the coldest day of the darkest night comes, at which time he goes to join his Queen so that Spring may come.
A new King is chosen, and the cycle repeats.
The darkest night has fallen over the land and it is unknown why the cold has not broken. Dark clouds cover the sun, the winter only becomes worse as supplies begin to dwindle and panic sets in through the land.
Whomever joins this adventure must find out what happened to the King, and why Spring has not come before the world, and everyone in it, freezes to death."

Once you have chosen these send me your choice and I’ll roll to decide your Ability Scores/Mods for your beginning stats.
After that build yourself a Character and post your character sheet in the form.
-I’ll give us 24 hours to all decide to play or not. You can join late but you’ll be entering in at a later stage in the game and may have to wait a day or two to be brought into the game story.
Once the players are set I'll let everyone know what order they can generally post in.
It will be like constantly being in battle mode, everyone gets a turn for what they're doing, (1 action + 1 bonus action, not spells but like RP actions, so looking around, talking with someone, rolling to read the room etc) and then can do 1 or 2 reactions (answering a question someone asks them, asking a follow up question.) You'll have 24 hours to make your move or you pass on your turn and the "Scene" will move on.
I'll do a "Scene summary" each day and progress the story.
EX:
SCENE: You're all in a bar
P1: I walk up to the barkeep and order a beer putting 1 copper on the table.
P2: I join him and ask the bartender what the latest news is
DM: Barkeep takes the coin and looks at it giving you the cheapest swill he has on tap giving you a look that comes with a slight eye-roll, he answers P2 "Oh not much, just the eternal winter and all, lucky for me as long as alcohol exists and troubles persist, I'll be the last business standing before we all well and truly are fucked."
P3: I roll to inspect the room (perception = 18)
DM: *DESCRIBES ROOM*
P2: I react to the barkeep: "Why hasn't the winter broken yet? Hasn't the Summer King gone to the winter palace to meet the Queen?"
P1: I react and roll to investigate why the barkeep rolled his eyes (Investigation = 15)
DM: "The King went and yet spring hasn't come, maybe the Queen wasn't pleased with him this year? Maybe he ran away before he got to the winter palace? I don't know but there are more rumours than fact flying around, someone needs to do something that's for sure."
-The barkeep rolled his eyes at P1 because he though you were a cheap moron for paying so little to get the shittiest beer in the place. He's well known for his honey mead for 2silver but for a single copper you basically got water with a drunk man's spit in it.
24 hours pass:
END SCENE: The bar is closing for the night and you're all forced out into the cold, you know what they say, "You don't have to go home, but get the fuck out."
Outside snow is falling and you can barely see with no stars nor moon and the snowflakes large enough to mist the lamplight. Where shall you go?
->etc. etc.
