I'm pretty sure we already do, but I'm still on Netflix. As a newbie question, what is the difference/the advantage anyways?;)

In additional to what's been mentioned, I believe there are certain videos on Pornhub that are downloadable only for Premium members. Thankfully, none of Miran's videos have been restricted to Premium just yet.

I'm really pissed.

I listen to a lot of opinions voiced by real scientists and here are some true facts:
- masks are only useful in closed environments, or only when someone sneezes/cough in your direction.
- the virus can also enter your organism via your eyes so in the above situations you can get sick even with a mask.
- you don't need to constantly wear a mask outside as long as you make sure nobody sneezes or cough in your direction, hence the recommended distance to observe. Personally, I've always sneezed/coughed in my jacket from a very young age (manners you know).
- outdoor, the virus doesn't float freely/endlessly in the air like so many people believe, so you don't have to be afraid of going outside like so many ignorant quarantined people.
- you are at risk if you are very old and/or immuno-depressed (hiv,cancer,etc.), heavy smoker, or in constant exposure with the virus (carers).

Despite these facts, most of the countries react as if we were still in the early 1900s.

Only South Korea did it the right/modern way: mass testing + mass tracing.
Only they, live in the 2000s.

Mass testing + mass tracing means that you don't have to stop the whole economy.
It also means that people can conserve some sanity.
It means that you put into quarantine only the right people.

Japan, supposedly a modern country, is apparently too proud or too ashamed to imitate South Korea.
You can guess why.

One of the reasons was South Korea had their own tests so they had enough tests in hand and all the money spend stayed in the country. Now every other country is hesitant to spend a billion dollars for mass testing. They rather destroy the economy for tens of billions instead.

The numbers from Spain are now published in Wikipedia. It tells us 96% of the people who died had one or more risk factors and the median age is over 80. Which is pretty much the same than the average life expectancy in there.

The level of HD quality makes it worth it to sign up. Well, it’s free where I am so definitely ‘worth it.’ Lol. Longer vids too. And do yourself a favor and watch it on a larger screen than your phone.

The VR Asian stuff is still kind of meh though. :banghead:

Since this began I’ve been wondering if they could have weight height or BMI as datapoint on people’s status. That might really be one of the reasons it’s going undetected here in Tokyo. Not as many obese people.
This is not to fat shaming but so people can at least understand who is more at risk. I got plenty of overweight friends & family & worry about them.

Went to the local onsen the other day with the wife. There were Osaka, Omiya, Kobe and Nerima numbers in the car park.

We still have an issue with local hotels etc still taking bookings for Golden Week. For me that is the biggest worry at the moment.

I saw a thing about Nozawa Onsen on TV the other night. Seems like they are one of the few localities in Nagano Prefecture that have not closed schools. The rationale of the person interviewed was that this is a tourist town and that with so many people coming in from outside, the kids were safer off at school. Has to be one of the most bullshit explanations I have ever heard.
