Prince Sakura, royal park, cerulean Tower, I heard Grand Hyatt now requires keycard, too. Sigh.

Cerulean tower? I’ve just been there a few weeks ago, now it requires key card?! My only problem with Cerulean was a staff member guarding the elevators at that time.

Also, for those small hotels tend to have 1 big towel, 1 small towel. Only 1 out of 20 visits has a client that kindly ordered another big towel via room service. I'm Japanese, that I don't complain, even you only had 1 small towel left and you take the big one. It's just makes little impression better, if you had 2 big towels ready. Same thing with APA,.Kadoya, Sunroute small hotels.

Also those small business hotels have an “all in one” shampoo for body and hair.. which can be harsh for my skin, so I also bring my own body soap. (And offer to share with my client of course) I also learned from @Manami TMK that its a good idea to bring your own body sponge. But if my elephant memory is serving me right, Gracery had a nice green tea shower gel at the time of my visit.

Yes, it's ultralight backpacking gear. I have a bunch of them, I use them for gym towels - I'm always trying to reduce the size of my gym bag.

I HATE staying in hotels, but they just had to go and kill off the affordable alternatives. I usually meet a girl (non-pro) most trips, and single-tenant Airbnbs are fine for spending the night. No one checks.

More like in general for the rooms and stuff. I never had trouble getting into either as long as i can meet the guy outside.

I feel the same about hotels. I hate giving chunks of money like that to big chains and getting something so medicore back. Much rather see the money going to an individual who isn’t a millionaire yet, or pay for something actually nice and not just a cramped room with a bed.
