Love Hotel List/"reviews"

Hey all.

I was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation for a hotel near Higashi Shinjuku station. I know Bali An is good, but the situation requires something a bit more discreet

Thanks!

Bali-An is pretty much the starting point in that area... that's probably most discreet because it's on the edge of Kabukicho whereas everything else is more inwards where there's a ton more people who know what you're doing. :) The street with Pasha and Stellate is pretty quiet and is just around the corner from both Higashi-Shinjuku station and Bali-An... closer to the Bali-An side. Or, you can hit up the new Petit Bali-An Resort location which is closer by distance to Higashi-Shinjuku station and is kind of isolated from most of the crowd. (Tourist can be seen walking to the Granbell hotel on the same street as this Bali-An though....)

Thanks, man! I appreciate the suggestions.

I think that I wasn't quite clear enough in my post. The lady and I are in the same boat and both looking for some discretion so Bali An doesn't really work, though that would be a go to otherwise. I thought the folks may have some experience with the other hotels in the vicinity.

Hotel XO is the cheapest and cleanest place you'll get in the area. Most rooms have mirrors on the wall, if you're into that.

I still don't understand what you mean by discretion. Going to a love hotel is already discreet enough as it is... There are plenty of hotels around that area, but they aren't commonly talked about because they are fairly crappy and I wouldn't be taking a lady there.

From Higashi-Shinjuku station, you'll still have to walk towards Kabukichou and there are a number of hotels on the edge.

Unless someone is following you, nobody is going to care what you're doing.

Yup, most of the cheaper places have bad pluming so the pipes in the bathroom, etc. smell.
Hotel XO is the major exception, though.

Bali An is just open in the lobby area, and filled with couples waiting most times, as opposed to a bare lobby with a board to choose rooms. Lady in question is a bit worried about being seen, regardless of the slim chances of that happening, so Bali An not the best choice.

Then don’t go to Bali An, lol.
Most of the other hotels still have a lobby to wait in if it’s full... just pick one that doesn’t have a wait time. There’s lots of choice around there.

Yeah, that was the idea---don't go there

Reason I asked in the first place was that I've only been to Bali An in that area, and was looking for a recommendation considering there are lots of other places....

If you are REALLY worried about discretion, there are LHs where you drive in to underground/basement parking with your tinted glass limo, you won't be seen, and you won't see a soul.

What a complicated nightmare for an afternoon fuck.

Less complicated: Either of you book solo into a big Tokyo hotel, intermingled with a group of noisy Chinese tourists. Carry some bag. Go to room. Inform partner in crime of room number. In hotels with elevator key cards, use your imagination.

Jeez.

Meanwhile, your mutual partners at home have long figured out how to read your Suica, and how to access your Google track.

I take it reading comprehension is not your strong suit. Nor is being succinct since it took three messages to convey that fact.

I wanted a good LH that does not have an open plan lobby. I got my answer.

Your original query said "the situation requires something a bit more discreet." I offered a few degrees of discretion, based on a rich experience with tradecraft. If it all comes down to getting embarrassed by other waiting couples, then I'm the wrong guy to talk to. Frankly, I like to be surrounded by people getting ready to fuck.

Strictly speaking, Bali-An is not a LH. It's a normal hotel marketed as LH. That's why it has an open lobby and a restaurant as required by the Hotel Business Act. A traditional LH is regulated by a different law (the Entertainment Business Control Act, Article 2, Para 6, Item 4) and it doesn't have an open lobby.

Does anyone else feel when they go to love hotels and see other couples if it’s a escort as well?

No, I just check the age gap. I once saw an old Japanese man in his 70s walk out of a LH with a high school girl with the famous ganguro make-up on. (And she was plus sized) The people I bump into at LHs probably think I'm paying for an escort anyway, so I don't have time to worry about their situation.

I was once entering when the next door opened and a Japanese guy who must have been at least in his late 70's with all shiny white hair walked out with a cute spinner who looked like she just turned 18 that day.

I have to say I was between WTF and high-fiving the guy.

Did I ever mention the time when I saw a guy in his mid 60’s say goodbye at the LH entrance to a group of 4-5 girls in their low twenties??

I am a bit desensitized, so it didn’t shock too much, but I was like ‘woh... you musmif had some fun..’
