Well, if you haven't been under a rock in the last 9 hours, you may know that Apple announced their new devices overnight.

I was not planning on upgrading my iPhone 6, but I just read a blurb earlier this morning about the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus supporting SUICA and other Japan electronic payment systems. (Finally)

This alone may be enough reason to change phones once the dust settles. I will certainly consider the option now with this announcement.
For all other intents and purposes, there's no screaming reason to change to a 7 that I can see.
The whole lack of of the earphone jack isn't much of an issue for me, I rarely, if ever actually use it. I use Bluetooth for all of the audio accessories these days.
Personally.... I think we'll see a rise of the iPhone 7 for those who wanted an iPhone but were waiting for Apple Pay and/or SUICA-like functions. People still lingering with iPhone 4, 5, 5S and maybe SE could be tempted to upgrade. People with 6 or 6S, probably are less likely inclined to upgrade.
Last but not least, Air Pods.

That is pretty cool actually....
(No interest in Apple Watch, so not gonna talk about it! lol)
