Risk of Working Illegally (outside Japan)

Lol, the "pull factor" is just money. It's the same reason a lot of Japanese people would want to get regular jobs in America, 150k is like baseline in major US cities now.

I don't do escorting stuff in America because I like to go raw and I believe it's safer in Japan, but I have some finance friends who are seriously deep in the US scene. My friend even "dated" one of the popular girls and found out she made between 270-300k a year, CASH. If you don't understand taxes, that's like making $550,000 USD from a salaried job. Another girl, who was actually a bit older, maybe 32-33, was booked by an older guy for THREE MONTHS at a rate of $3000/day. Yes, she made fucking $270,000 in three months just living with this guy. She got to live in this luxurious 20 million dollar house, eat the best food, do whatever she wanted, and all she had to do was fuck this guy whenever he wanted.

That's fucking ridiculous. I seriously cannot believe this shit, it's so funny.

But anyways, if those girls report the mamasans they'll also get banned from the US themselves. Immigration knows this kind of stuff happens and they do try to stop it
No, if they report the mamasans (and talk about things like not being allowed to leave the store) they are very likely eligible for a T visa and green card

Half the girls I meet are considering going now and I try to explain to them the dangers but the pull factor is just too high and the scouts are very persistent. Especially to somebody who needs to pay off a huge host bill or get that surgery she always wanted…
This is so depressing.
Fuuzoku in Japan is so bleak after the pandemic.

Post pandemic, I've seen SWs and agencies slowly try to bump prices up in the US. It would make sense to pace with inflation and with wages overall increasing. Sadly, wages had been stagnant for maybe 8 years now, and seems to be getting dominated by workers from poorer countries.

I wish SW would legalize in the US. Otherwise conditions won't improve for the SWs.

And apparently the Japanese are “workers from poorer counties” now. >.<

I’m not sure about legalization. A lot of west European countries have it and wages are also low because of all the ladies coming in from the east, and level of service is not that great. Decriminalization is needed though.

Sadly, for Japan I think it's more of a reflection of the economy for many people. Maybe the country isn't poor, but so many of the young folks are struggling to make ends meet nowadays. It's to where a single job doesn't cut it, and then have to add in the side gigs and part time jobs.

It’s like that everywhere for young people nowadays I think.
I’m happy SW is getting more accepted in a sense but it’s kinda annoying that every other girl in the US has an OF and don’t seem to realize the long term risks of and online presence and the Japanese fuuzoku industry is just swarmed with young girls who are not serious about service and don’t care to properly learn things like mat play and somehow the shops seem to prefer hiring them just for their age and newness.
Also not so difficult for a young girl to just learn English and work an angle servicing foreigners in Japan instead of going on a tour I think but people don’t seem to be able to take proper initiative by themselves.

I agree with this part especially. I see SW as a respectable job and is more than just having sex. My friend opened my eyes to a glimpse of her world and it was quite enlightening. The best SWs care about their service and what it gives their customers.

Indeed, seems like a lot of shops are really struggling. I’m seeing popular girls with slots empty and even notoriously anti-foreigner shops like Tokyo Bunny’s Club have opened their doors to foreigners.

I noticed that! I’m like I’m i seeing that correctly? It says accepting foreigners on this girls twitter who works at Tokyo bunny’s club

Is fuzoku really in such a bad state in Japan?

Wasn't it just extremely overestablished in old times?

If you are a citizen, do yourself a favor and get global entry. $100 and it lasts 5 years. You get TSA pre check, and global entry itself. When I arrive in the US I point my face at a scanner thing then it spits out a ticket saying welcome, and then I am in. Takes no time at all.

Yeah I should do that, a few weeks back when I came in it took 45 minutes to get through immigration because they had two people working. I'm Pre-check currently, but I should probably add GE. So many people have Pre-check now that it's slower than the normal security line, but it's still worth it to leave my shoes on and laptop in my bag, because clearly the terrorists won. Still taking shoes off 20+ years later, what a fucking joke.

Yeah, the shoe business is especially lame.

Uh, no. The "help solve a crime" thing only applies if you aren't a criminal yourself.
This is not true for human trafficking. A victim of a crime cannot be an accomplice even if he/she participated willingly in the commission of the crime.

So even if they came to do prostitution if they arrive and were confined or subject to work conditions they were not informed of they can cooperate with police and get a visa

There is no such thing as too overestablished. As usual, other places need to get on Japan’s level, not the other way around.

Anyway yes, the local demand seems to be down compared to the past. But the influx of new girls is pretty massive and not all of them seem to know what they are getting into.

She isn't a victim of a crime though, she is, in this case, the criminal.

It's not like these mamasans actually "lock" them up. The girls are just strongly encouraged not to leave, but if they started screaming and banging on the doors, obviously they would be let out to do whatever they want. There is REAL human trafficking of course, and that 100% needs to be stopped and I think those girls might get a legal pass, but not these J-girls who travel to the US to escort lol.

"Hello Mr. American Law enforcement, I am Yuyu from Tokyo. I lied to your border agents and came here to be an illegal prostitute so I can make a full year's Japanese salary in just two weeks in America. My Korean/Chinese mamasan was very mean to me and told me not to leave the building. Can you arrest her for human trafficking and also give me a green card, preeeeeasseee?"

lol. no.

Yeah touts are beckoning me everywhere on a three-day weekend. If you aren’t in AV or a ranker or at an established store, it seems really tough.

Obviously they wouldn’t phrase it like that… with proper legal advice they could definitely spin the story in a way that would allow them to get a T visa (indeed if you look at the stats it happens)

In the first place the only federal crime involved is the Mann Act which involves transporting the woman not the prostitution itself. Prostitution isn’t a federal crime and the immigration offenses are all civil.
