Sexually Transmitted Disease (std) Talk

I recommend https://yaesugai-medical.com/english for STDs, but the doctor is also an urologist. They don't require any appointment and the doctor speaks good English. I have Japanese insurance, so it's super cheap for me, but even without it it should be very reasonably priced. If you have a medical emergency, then St Luke's International Hospital is the place to go.

I did DATY in a yoshiwara soapland. now i'm reading up and i can apparently get oral HPV and thus a lottery ticket for a small chance for the prize of oropharyngeal /throat cancer.

can you guys just do your thing and make fun of me now and tell me it'll be ok. i used to make fun of all these posts but now i'm just anxious. no way to test for it too.

No, it unfortunately doesn't work like that. Well, at least you can you can have a brilliant epitaph: "Here lies basketweaver, a guy who ate so much pussy it killed him".

Estimates are half of the sexually active male population (and yeah, it counts even if you just lay there) has had HPV at some point in their lives. Your body usually just clears it away.

I think these worries are discussed here on the forum every few weeks. If you are really worried about getting fucking throat cancer after having sex with a stranger, stay away from P4P. Far far away.

Sure, for you these fears are real for you, even if they are irrational. I think there is also nothing we could tell you to make you forget about what google told you...just avoid is, otherwise it will drive you nuts.

Two friends have been diagnosed with throat cancer in the last decade, both had treatment and have been cancer free for years. As long as you're regular with your checkups so that it's spotted early, it's one of the most easily treated with a post treatment cancer-free survival rate of around 90% for all cases.

Most of the fatal cases are not treated in a timely fashion. My old landlord in the home country refused to go to the doctor until he had a lump the size of a golf ball, unsurprisingly he did not have a good outcome.

For what it's worth:

Estimates are that about 85% of the adult population in the United States has or will have an HPV infection in their lifetime.

If we conservatively go with 50% (since we're only counting oral cases), we're talking about roughly a hundred million men.

There are roughly 15,000 new cases of HPV linked oropharyngeal cancers a year, and 2/3 are men - so about 10,000 a year.

So, if we assume average age of exposure at 25, and average life expectancy of 75, 500,000 cases.

This works out to a 0.5% chance of HOPV developing into cancer, which you have a 90% chance of surviving.

So, if you contracted oral HPV you have a 0.05% chance of actually dying from it at some point in your life. 1 in 2,000.

And you can improve those odds by getting regular annual medical checks.

Sorry to hear about your friends but glad they are ok. I hope you weren’t too negatively mentally affected by that. I’m guessing you get tested regularly now because of that. What exactly should we get checked for and for what kind of doctor?

I’m a bit less worried now since I remembered that there was brushing and mouthwash before and after the session - which possibly helps. My concern now is just spreading it to other people as a possible carrier. HPV is worse on females, I’d think. But yeah P4P probably isn’t for me. Shouldn’t have eaten that since I (irrationally) can’t bear the risk of catching HPV.

Recently in Thailand, had a free test done at PULSE.
HIV and Syphilis test only.
Only information required was
First and last name, DOB, Country, Sex, email and phone number*(for contacting and sending you your test results)
Went to PULSE Gallery at Phloen Chit. Walked in, asked about the free test, gave the info required. Asked to do a google review for the test(You can delete it after the staff have seen it, I did since I forgot to switch to my burner account)
Nurse informed me about the test, and what other services they provided at the clinic as general info, didn't try and upsell any packages to me.
Prick test, took blood and that was about it.
I was free to leave if I wanted a digital copy or wait about 20 mins for a physical copy of the result.
Probably took about 10-15 mins for the whole process.

*I gave a burner email and the temp number I bought at the airport

I've seen him and he's cool. He thought I had herpes but I believe he misdiagnosed me as just having gotten some of my gfs candida skin rash

Otherwise no hassles shop for all your STD woes... and sells pills

Another ok guy speaks some English in Shibuya https://www.shibuya-nse.com/

My throat has gone through some things and I’m still alive.

I shaved my pubes 2 weeks ago, and stupidly did a quick reshave the night before seeing a provider and nicked my upper crotch. It was enough to see a tiny pin drop of blood. Can’t really see the wound.

We obviously covered up for the encounter, but I'm overthinking the cut now. Could such a small micro cut possibly heal overnight? We mainly did CG, so there was definitely skin to skin contact in that area. Regardless, will get tested once it’s been 3 weeks after.

As a new member navigating forums and resources, seeing this thread was great since it is a critical topic for general play and p4p. Testing between new partners is important, especially ones you have zero history of (particularly p4p). Even then, unless you verify (recent) results with new partners personally, you're still at risk since you're relying on their word. As an avid explorer of the realm of swingers/poly couples, and despite having these sexual health conversations beforehand, I have been burned before. It's no good testing monthly if you're fucking several new people (especially BB).

On a different note, I came across this just doing some simple research. I am unsure of the accuracy, but I found it interesting that Japan is essentially ranked #1 for healthcare access, treatment, facilities, etc., which is reassuring for sexually active people in the country.

So...

I realized I am possibly risky and I didn't even realize it. I didn't really wanna write this, but I wanted to get a few opinions on it. It's not exactly the standard question about safety.

Okay. So I play it pretty safe with P4P. I rarely do anything aside from any kind of touching. HJ, paizuri, kissing the body in general (I have slipped up once or twice in the last year. But all in all I am very careful).

However, I realized I was doing something unintentional that could be risky.

So, at some point I will finger the provider, and sometimes she gets pretty wet. Now... the thing is... I sometimes stroke myself while I am doing so to maybe get going again for a second pop. What I wasn't realizing is obviously I have some of her fluid on my hand - and I'm touching myself.

Seems like this could be bad.

I did some research and appears some things can live in the air - not everything dies in the air immediately. I won't mention specifics, cause I wanna keep a general tone to this post.

Basically, I'm not super worried, I'm just not gonna do it again, but a bit uneasy.

Thanks.

The right question to ask in a forum where most of the guys like to burry their faces between the girl's legs. Or if you use health services you also have a lot more direct contact with bodily fluids....

Yeah, sure there is always a risk involved, the question is if it unreasonably high. If it worries you, don't do it. Simple as that.

You just worry too much. Given that you go mostly to soaps and soaps get their girls tested... i don't know, maybe you should stop going. If you start being afraid of everything, your brain will start sending the wrong signals and you may end up somatizing, which is not good at all.

Like, if you go and play again and don't even finger the girl or touch yourself because you are afraid to get something, you are going to send those "overly cautious" signals to the provider, who will read the air and may give you worse service because she may think you don't feel at ease with her, ultimately becoming what you are most afraid of: "a dud".

Okay.

I appreciate the response. 🙏

Kind of off the tracks a bit. I’ve got pretty set patterns. This is the one thing I didn’t think of. I thought it could be emulating genital to genital contact. So it’s not something I can easily just look up unlike oral sex where a quick Google gives endless info.

I think your chances of catching anything are remote. I"m not a doctor, but some relatives are. HIV no chance and that's the big one. Others are curable. but your chances are slim to none of catching anything in my non-medical opinion. But as others have said,
if you are stressing, go and get checked.

Thanks Snuggles. Sounds like a very reasonable response.

I appreciate it.
