The Next US President is....

No, I just wanted people to imagine HIllary's head exploding. :D

(Video clip is NSFW, at all.)

You know, I almost feel sorry for Hillary. Think about it: She is a VERY capable and intelligent woman, one of the most brilliant political operators in history. Ruthless, cunning, she master-minded and oversaw Bill's entire career and steam-rolled over any person (rape victim) who tried to derail her master plan. In 2007 it was all but inevitable, the last phase of that plan being her heroic ascendancy to the White House, the first female president.

1) Then some unknown jerkoff Kenyan socialist with absolutely zero executive or leadership experience gave a nice speech at the DNC and took the job away from her. But she's patient, she tries to be gracious, she swallows her pride and waits 8 long years...

2) Then some big-mouth, egomaniacal, pussy-grabbing reality TV show star makes an absolute mockery of the entire electoral process and, in the process, takes the job away from her again, all the while taunting her with offensive nicknames while crowds of 30,000 adoring fans are laughing and screaming, "LOCK HER UP!!" And now, the only way she can get some sense of satisfaction in watching that asshole lose is to...

3) Then watch a feeble, demented old man whose political career should've been over a decade ago and trails her by at least 30 IQ points get the job she's wanted her entire adult life.

Hillary Clinton is still as sharp and evil as ever, and she's getting to watch a stuttering, senile old man who can't remember what office he's running for or even what state or city he's in, hobble around the country being led around by the same aides and operatives that led her around the country four years ago, only this time, this pathetic geriatric stooge will probably be able to do what she was somehow unable to do and beat Trump, just by not being Trump. Imagine that, the very same people who preferred TRUMP to HER, now prefer BIDEN to TRUMP. She's third place behind a carnival barker jackass and a guy who can't even spell his name!

That shit must burn. Bad. I'll bet she drinks herself to sleep every night.

No chances for uneventful and boring these times, but I strongly want knowledgeable and capable people to have their say and possibly restore US / global agenda to more important topics (global warming anyone? )

i dunno. I start to feel a bit desperate about the US. Irrespective who wins. Maybe I spend too much time on (another) kind of forum about freedom of speech / Covid / conspiracy theories etc...
the amount of bullshit people believe is just... nauseating. And they are mostly American, sad to say. Flat-earthers, QAnonists, Anti-vaccines, Anti-masks, Anti-Media, Anti-scientists... even one seriously saying that 1=1 is just an axiom and mathematics are built on it but it could be otherwise etc etc
After 15mn of this crap I want to hug @Keihan and say « oh my brother how unfair I was with you » :)

When I was little I used to read books like Travel at center of Earth or 20,000leagues under the sea (above anyone YOU should know, non? ).
From there went to magazines that postulated aliens, yetis, secrets of pyramids, maybe you know the drill.
NEVER for a moment I doubted the truth of empirical science, reasoning and the validation it gave everytime.
Some theories (mathematics on different bases, non-regular axioms ) I accepted as something that went on a side and not substitute the foundations.
I suppose that this mind weakness (?) Comes from less than the least necessary amount of study (not teaching, one's effort ) .
No surprise that China, India will surpass US in scientific fields if this trend doesn't change on.

And a President, before anything, should be an example, moral and in deeds, to whom everybody should look at.
Not a joke.

jules vernes, loved his books too

And yes I read my fair share of wackadoodle stuff too
But now I think it comes to the point where Idiocracy was not just a movie but some kind of spookily accurate prediction
Not that it’s necessarily better in Europe , we also have loads of those types

Don't speak too soon. I'm considering joining the anti-vaxxer movement as a volunteer propagandist. I'm hoping to discourage as many Americans as possible from getting the vaccine, so I can move up in line and possibly get mine in January.

Well at least you have some kind of rationale to justify it

He may have some degree of influence over the next 4 or 8 years , and much less if Congress is not on his side

I would actually go further and say the POTUS can probably decide which sock put on first in the morning (the socks are provided to him so he hasn't get any say on that) and that's pretty much it.

Remember your favourite president who promised "I will close Guantanamo Bay" like four times?

you’re correct but afaik it’s mostly empty now anyway

Wait.. so he has three balls?

Ironically, performed by a German orchestra....

I am REALLY disappointed that only J4F got that one.

Well.. sorry... we’re too dumb I guess :notworthy:
Never learned the lyrics to the song?

Hitler has only got one ball (+1)
Göring has two but very small
Himmler is rather sim'lar (+2)
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all

So if Trump is Hitler and Himmler rolled into one, three balls.

I can't and you know it. Voting for Biden is like eating half a bowl of shit, voting for Trump is eating the whole bowl. How am I supposed to sell that?

Hire the team behind the "Trump" brand ...... selling shit is all in a days work for them. :)

Ok I must admit now... I once stayed in a Trump hotel (the Las Vegas one). It wasn’t bad except that the room we were given was opened when we checked in and cleaning has not been done yet. So I complained (yeah, it was a premonition I guess) and got an upgrade. So I would give it a pass compared to the scams and failures like Trump Airline, Trump University, Trump casinos, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Water and I certainly forget many orhers

ah ah! He’s really unique. By the way why can’t they vote? Even our Tahitians and FrenchCaribeaneses and NewCaledonians can , as they should.
The US electoral system is really a riddle wrapped in a mystery

You make a good point. France seems to have a better approach here.

This shows another messed up aspect of the U.S. electoral college system, which is based on states. Millions of American citizens living in the five territories with permanent populations (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa) cannot vote for president in the general election. The political parities can allow them to vote in party primaries, but the general election is a different matter.

Citizens living in the territories also do not have senators. There are only a few territorial delegates in the House of Representatives, but they are not full members. The delegates cannot vote on the floor. Yet, they can participate in committees.

Citizens living in the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.) were not able to vote for president until the passage of the 23rd Amendment in 1961. Even today D.C. does not have its own senators or representatives. Instead, D.C. merely has a delegate like what the territories have.

Rumors have been circulating recently about Senator Josh Hawley as a potential 2024 GOP candidate. I haven't followed his career very closely but after his performance during the SCOTUS hearings yesterday it's easy to see why.

This guy is good. He's got the skills of Ted Cruz without being a repellent douchebag. I don't agree with all of his positions but at least the GOP has some young talent for the post-Trump era.

If he can make it through that same speech, but replacing "Catholic" with "Jewish" or "Muslim" then I'll be a lot more impressed. And don't get me wrong, that was an eloquent and well crafted speech, and I'm already pretty impressed.

Let's not forget U.S. Senator Tom Cotton.

Puerto Rico has a larger population than several of the states, but it has no senators.

Even D.C. has more people than Wyoming. Yet, Wyoming gets two senators while D.C. gets none.

He was cute back then ...
frankly the lady interviewing him was so sycophantic I was expecting her to kneel down and suck his dick after the 3rd question :)
