Toss a knife onto the floor between them and see which one leaves alive.

That's kinda how European politics used to be decided.

They turned out OK in the end, right?

If Biden and Trump were in this, their heads would explode
Wait, is this an option? If so, what do we need to do to make this happen? I would seriously pay a lot to see this.

wow! So there are still decent and reasonable people in US politics?! It’s a hoax right? Those guys are in fact porn actors wanting to create some buzz right?

JPN news reported this same video yesterday morning, so it must be fake ;)

Do I really need to state the obvious??? They're gubernatorial candidates in UTAH. That means they are both MORMONS. Is it not stunningly obvious when you watch their style of speaking or body language?? You can't tell me you've never run into any of those creepy fucking kids in white, short-sleeved collared shirts and neckties with nametags on their missions in Tokyo, walking around Ueno Park harassing college students??

Mormons are incapable of being aggressive. Mormons are incapable of begin argumentative. Mormons are incapable of being impolite. Mormons are incapable of being mean. The can barely stand to raise their voices. Remember Mitt Romney? Yeah...that's why he's not President. I told you I had to babysit his son and family at an event many years back. They're so sickeningly nice and friendly and polite and saccharine sweet that being near them puts you in a constant state of heebie-jeebie-ness. Couldn't stand being around them for more than a few minutes at a time.

Asking two Mormons to debate is like asking two Chinese to split the bill for dinner. Exercise in futility.

They don't drink. They don't swear. They don't have sex before marriage. They even wear special "sacred" underwear to represent their commitment to the cause. And any time enough of them flock to any specific town, they use their money and influence to infiltrate the city council and legislature and push to ban 1) alcohol sales, and then 2) any "adult" establishment (strip club) within a --- mile radius. That's a big NO THANK YOU for me.

Personally, I don't have a problem with them. It's like with any other holy-roller: just stay out of my personal life and we're fine. I actually have a lot of LDS friends (hence my involvement with the Romney campaign in 2012) but my friends are a bit different. They're either reformed former-LDS members who escaped the cult and love to tell LDS horror stories over 15 beers at the bar, or guys who abandoned their LDS family traditions as teens, went and fucked up their whole lives in the L.A. rock&roll&drugs&girls scene and then in their late 20s went crawling back to the church as rehabilitation and live pretty functional lives now.

But the ones who are born and raised LDS and remain true-believers and committed to the church their entire lives...well, they only end up one way, and it's not pretty.

I don't have any problems people believing in old tales or wearing funny underwear (as long as I don't have to see that) but anyone who doesn't drink coffee cannot a friend of mine.

So this happened.
It’s like: “We’ve tried nothing and it didn’t work!”

This is like a headline from The Onion.

Big Don down to 5% on Economist poll aggregator.......a new low.
This is the new saddest story I've ever heard.

I wonder whether it can go negative? Is it possible to have a less than 0 chance to be elected? Now that would be a mathematical performance he could be kinda proud of
But after all in these crazy times we already saw negative interest rates and negative oil prices so who knows...

Seriously, one question for my American friends living in Japan: given that Americans living in Puerto Rico can’t vote for the President (and those living in DC can’t get a senator), what exactly can you vote for? Can you be kinda still voting as if you were in your home state? How does it work?
