That's your purpose on TAG, getting "likes"? Really? I guess that's what all the groveling to any possible female and only saying what you think will be popular, versus any integrity or intellectual honesty. Totally selling out for the "likes".

I don't think so. Looks like you are up in here to grovel for discounts from providers. Where's your honor and intellectual integrity as a man? I could come in here and SIMP talk, hoping for discounts or pity sex from providers and getting "likes", but rather tell the truth. More to be learned that way.

I really wasn't going to reply anymore but this whole thread is making me laugh so much that I feel I must return so as to thank dear Solong personally for this. Never have I seen "I hope she gives you a discount" as an insult, especially amongst mongers. Anyway, Ww speaks for himself and I don't give discounts. Please continue the roasting!

You are full of bad guesses today; don't go to the track! I most often pay more than escort's standard prices (i.e., tip generously) and rarely accept discounts even if offered. But to be fair, I rarely see escorts at all in recent years.

This thread is as relevant as any on TAG. It is a topic presented in the Japanese news, international news, and talked about among Japanese and foreigners alike. I think a problem here, is people being too PC or overreacting, whenever a topic touches on any possible differences between the Japanese and Westerners. As if, there can't possibly be any cultural or common behavior differences, or get overly upset about views that are different from their own. They then seek to deceptively shut down any debate or the thread. It's happened on TAG a number of times.

As for your point made, this is female hypergamy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypergamy). And is a very common unacknowledged problem. The woman can think she is more "elite" than she actually is. The guys that she might think are on her level, don't see her in that way and have many other options besides her. In addition, she may have little to no skills to keep their interest, besides simply her long list of demands.

However, even if a woman thought she was so superior to the rest of mankind, not having a date or sex in 5 years should have been a clue to her that something is wrong. Even with that type of thinking, that's an excessively long period of time.

I agree with you, @Solong, that the issue raised in the OP is a serious one and worthy of discussion...if less entertaining than the more recent wackiness.

As I indicated in my first post in the thread, I am not so convinced that it is a particularly Japanese problem/phenomenon. Conventional wisdom and the media have often seen it as especially Japanese, but both are unreliable (to put it mildly) indicators of reality at best. In any case, even if such sexless women (and men) are demographically more common in Japan than elsewhere, they certainly exist in many, probably all, places at some level, and many of the explanations suggested in this thread apply equally outside Japan. Fwiiw, I strongly suspect that the causes are quite varied and that there is little chance of us understanding much about the topic on the basis of anecdotal evidence and personal observations. It is very hard (read essentially impossible) to get solid and clearly reliable data on people's sex lives, especially aspects that may be considered abnormal or shameful, but imo data is still the best guide available.

I don't think I threw any insults. And I'm not trying to be a peacemaker. I just think this whole thread has reached max douchiness so maybe it's time to back off. Which I shall do now (feel free to throw some ad hominems my way as I do so!)

I'm sure you are so desperately hoping it will work out the way you wish. But, I'm sure new visitors will see who is answering and addressing the topics more, and who contributes little or are about nothing but insults. Because that is also very obvious.
