I've been to Tobita x2 and Matsushima x1, I just went with who I thought looked the hottest after a few laps and if she was waving/smiling my way and the mama-san was calling me, its normally a safe bet. Not super intimate but if you're just looking to lose your V-Card to a hot girl then its probably your best bet. When I went to Tobita I ended up repeating with the same girl and got better service the second time but YMMV.

Yes, just walk around and pick someone you like. Don't make the mistake of picking the first person that interests you. Take your time to walk around and soak in the atmosphere. The whole set-up is really fascinating if you're coming from a country where sex work is illegal.

I think hiring an escort was the right decision. This way you can take your time and are in no hurry. Tobita etc is of course the easiest choice but for the first time it's not ideal because it's most probably less personal and rushed.
