First song of your day

“Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, the hit 1967 single recorded by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, is a classic from Motown’s Tamla label.

What made it my first song today is finding this on YouTube: isolated graphics of the late, great bass guitarist James Jamerson playing on this song. Quite fascinating.

This was by choice. I like the B-52s, lived in Georgia for a few years and this song is catchy (and danceable, even for older guys banged-up from playing contact sports lol)

Also, I kill this at Karaoke in NY.

Dead Kennedys' drummer D.H. Peligro (Darren Henley) passed away in his Los Angeles home yesterday, October 28th. Police on the scene stated that he died from trauma to the head caused by an accidental fall.

How about this one? I sometimes get in the mood for this kind of vibe also. Maybe less common in a “party for the people” hap bar but could be good for a private event.
