Black Gaijin Denied at Putit Royal and Cream Lemon

It may be a little late to comment on this topic, but even in America, there are many, many escorts who will not see African American men. It’s not isolated to just Japan. Their ads typically state “No AA’s.”

I’ve asked an escort friend I know why this is, but I don’t want to get into trouble on this forum in a debate on race, so I’ll keep her answer under wraps. Obviously it’s a sensitive subject.

But Japan is not the only location that discriminates against black males, especially young black males. The sex business is not an Equal Opportunity Employer, and there is no government agency one can file a complaint with.

A helpful comment is never late.
Yeah mehn it is never equal.
But I'm curious as to what your friend said. Is it anything I can try to improve myself?

I doubt there's much you can do about this, to be honest. I'm Southeast Asian and I've never been rejected from anywhere because I'm light-skinned and I have dyed brown hair so they have no idea what my ethnicity is probably. Unfortunately, if you're black.. it's kinda hard to hide that. It's really a bummer. Thankfully not all places are like this.

According to my escort friend, young black men have a reputation amongst sex workers (at least in the US), as being too rough during sex. Therefore, escorts who aren’t accustomed or like rough sex reject this group sight unseen.

That would be one of the main reasons many ads say no AAs, or sometimes no AAs under 40. It’s probably not the same for girlfriends who don’t have to rely on their bodies to make a living.

I can imagine this would be a concern for petite Japanese providers who average 155 cm and weigh less than 50 kgs to be rather intimated by American black males (and the reputation that preceeds them).

There’s probably nothing you can do to ease fears of Japanese providers based on common misconceptions or stereotypes.

Since you’re pretty fluent in Japanese, I would go with those date cafes that I read about here. There’s a good chance you’ll have a better experience with them, pay less, and establish reoccurring relationships with them. I can manage a few phrases in Japanese, and definitely not carry on a conversation other than basic communication, so they won’t let me into one of those places.

As far as black American males, and Japanese women go, when I was young back in the early 90s, I witnessed many black men with their petite Japanese girl friends around town (I live in Honolulu). It was quite the trend back then. It irritated we young local hawaiian guys to no end. It was another group that we had to compete with to find love. First tall blonde haired white guys, now athetletic black guys.

That trend has kind of died off. I now see Japanese/japanese pairings more often than not. But I still see it happening from time to time.

On a side note (admin don’t admonish me for this discussion on race and ethnicity), I recently saw an African-American escort. My first black lady ever. OMG, that was the best sex I ever had. She was not only responsive to every thing I did (alleviating any performance anxieties I may have had), but also did amazing things. Seriously the best blow job ever. I think I may have jungle fever.

Sorry to hear that, but yes, a lot of places have rules about specific ethnicities (mainly black, Indian, and Middle Eastern).

Good on you for taking it in stride - that's how those doors eventually get opened.

FWIW, Cream Lemon sounds like they just weren't comfortable with your level of Japanese, a lot of shops are similr in that they're gaijin friendly as long as you can communicate in Nihongo.
Lol I am from the Middle East, I have never been turned down! To be frank, I usually get priorities with Gotanda touts...

I think young black men are considered rougher on average. I can actually agree on that and I don’t think its bad intend but just spontaneous passion that can be too much for the girl sometimes.
Also the US is pretty dangerous in general and girls really go for the “better safe than sorry” tactics when screening clients.

I think in Japan it may more be about size issues, and since the other guy who just commented wrote in a review of Putit Royal that he got asked if he was American, they may have a policy against African countries because disease concerns i guess.

Of course all of this doesn’t mean YOU are big or rough at all, but shops are pretty careful who they let in because they don’t want the girls to have a bad experience.

New year is probably the least "crazy" time of year in Tokyo....combination of weather, national holidays and expats and locals leaving town. Things can still get crazy though if your in the right place at the right time. What part of town are you living in? near what campus?

I must agree with you on Tokyo being the least crazy place to celebrate New Years. I was in Tokyo in 2011 and remember watching Buddhist or Shinto monks chanting under a waterfall in waters that looked very very cold. It was being broadcast nationwide.

The Japanese celebrate New Year’s Day, not the eve. That New Year’s Eve was my first and last in Japan. I eventually got tired watching the monks shiver and chant and went to sleep.

@GhostLegend From one black guy to another, i'm sorry you had to deal with that. We have to deal with such BS everywhere but its how we respond that makes the difference. Thanks for responding in a positive manner. Maybe because of that interaction, they will look to expand their horizons.

Yeah mehn. The least I could do was clear the stereotype. Nice to see some people are doing the same. Stay Positive!!!
