Interviewing with an AV company?

So my progress is still developing, so I thought I’d post an update of sorts! God willing I don’t jinx it lol

So my meeting with the first Jimusho didn’t result in anything, not even a kind rejection letter D: But later the next week I had gotten two more interviews. A little discouraged I debated not going to either of them but then I figured I didn’t really have anything left to lose.

The first interview was actually in a cafe (it was Sunday so most traditional offices are closed) and after being told about the job and conditions they gave me my managers line contact information and if there were any jobs available I would be contacted. I got an offer a few days later with a pay site called Caribbean, Ive seen it around a few times.

I wanted to accept the offer, but it came after my second interview with another jimusho (on the following Monday, so I went to their office proper). The first thing the guy said was “you know this an AV agency right?” He seemed really surprised haha Same as my very first interview, basic information, questions about what I want to do/don’t want to do etc. In this case I was expecting a few snaps same as last time and having to wait for an email.

The man told me however that he was going to schedule a proper studio shoot for photos (to make profile for the site) and it’s set for next Monday (28th). After the shoot, he said he would like to schedule a meeting with a maker soon during my next available day. I was told to wear a nice pair of panties, and come with no makeup on, as they do hair/make at the studio. I think this will be my first time wearing a mask in Japan

Back to the Caribbean offer, it sounds like Jimusho number two is serious about adding me on, so I’m unsure if I can take freelance work outside of the company while I’m with them. I’ll be asking the manager who interviewed me last week to confirm during the shoot, and asked them to wait for my response. All in all a very quick and exciting turn of events, I didn’t expect any of what’s happened so far so fingers crossed everything goes as planned!

Yeah, I wouldn’t take freelance work if i were you. When i joined a gravure agency they told me to not do any AV or nude shootings outside of their agency (normal modeling is fine).

Meeting in a cafe sounds also a bit dodgy, the “sunday” thing may have been an excuse. Taking pictures with a professional makeup artist and hair stylist sounds more like it. And i think you rather want to do a real video than some clips for a site, right?

AV is really tempting sometimes because i think it could shoot me to fame, but i think it would be too compromising later in life for me.

Sure, that situation is different for everyone and i agree that it seems like there would likely be no consequences. I was just dreaming off a bit, sometimes I imagine myself doing AV.

Definitely make a choice between agencies, like i said, if you get a dvd production offer for one, you should not be working for the other. Its like with modeling for a certain brand, you can’t go model for their rival company as well.

Wondering if your MUA is going to be the same one I worked with last December (he speaks English and works on a lot of AV shoots). Really nice guy and his work is great (applies the makeup using airbrush).

Damn that who knew taking some profile pictures could be so difficult!

The photo studio staff were really nice, when I was getting my makeup up done, one of the jimusho staff was there with me, and he had to send photos to the manager to make sure the look suited what they wanted (I could here them saying things like sexy, cute or natural? And the debate over what clothes to wear). The first time they did my eye makeup, they put too much eyeshadow on, so they had to redo it before the main shoot orz).

The first set of photos were in a casual outfit, I think they wanted to give me a more natural look. I had to straighten up, arch my back, my butt, tilt my head a certain way, and hold all this while wearing what I think were like 5inch heels. I remember losing my balance and steadying myself (and the photog who was a woman) had a good laugh as did I Then mostly the same thing when I had to strip down to just the panties, and again in those shoes. I was nervous as my figure is far from perfect, but the manager and staff member were more concerned about my pose and giving me the most flattering body line. They were looking at the photos and pointing to different places, and stopped in between shots to arrange me or show me how to pose. They were so patient and helpful I want to say it lasted about 45 minutes (not including makeup).

Next, is making the profile, and the manager said he’d message me with info soon about meeting a maker possibly next week. I wrote another book, maybe I should set up a blog

This was all done at a regular photo studio from the looks of it, so the guy I was with was probably just staff there. Didn’t get any fancy airbrush makeup, mostly just powder foundation and a little concealer. The base makeup was much lighter than I thought it would be, but my skin still looked good in the photos so I trust it was enough, curious how heavy duty they make it for an actual shoot. I will say I have oily skin, and he would blot me every so often in between shots, I feel like most Japanese make up is moisturizing for my skin type lol

Most of their videos are with Japanese models (as you'd expect), but they occasionally seek foreign models. Please let me know if you're interested in an introduction. I thought this might be useful for the female TAG members posting here that have interest in appearing in JAV.

This is actually another reason why I wouldn’t like to do it. I’m a very private person and I think I am one of those people who would rather not have fame. I’d like to be able to blend into the crowd and go about my day without people recognizing me on the streets. However I would like to provide photo session modeling for clients who are interested but.. even that is risky for my current circumstances..

I don’t think you should curse yourself for not being taller I can assure you not all men are into tall women. Tall women are on magazines, they get attraction from many people, but on a personal level there are times I was rejected just because of my height. Sometimes they just want someone they are compatible with, physically and feel comfortable around. I’m sure being average height works for you as an escort.

I can’t quote all the posts that brought up Asia Carrera, but I’ve seen that doc on Netflix myself, and admittedly I liked her bit the most I think. She sounded so real, the way she talked about growing up and wanting to feel pretty and being friends with boys, but not being seen as a true girl. “I wanted boys to look at me that way” She was cute as hell too (even before all her procedures) so I think those boys must have been blind.

Only thing is I think Western porn aesthetic now is terrible, the styling the way the girls have to act, not my cup of tea at all. While I don’t like every single thing in JAV, I definitely like the flow of it much more, and how generally natural the girls appear and act (they have the sub categories if you want gaudy chicks or extreme dirty talk, but that’s not the standard style). It’s surprisingly very feminine in most cases, and it might be fun to feel cute for once in the heat of the moment!

I think I am one of those people who would rather not have fame.

I usually have a good chuckle when I talk to one of those young people whose only dream in life is to be famous. To be famous and to be recognised in the streets would be my worst nightmare.

Sure I'd like to be the guy who solved the Fermat's Last Theorem and to get that kind of fame but most of the people nowadays are famous because they are famous. If that kind of fame landed on me I would probably jump from the Sky Tree rather than face it. Though that could probably make me famous again so that doesn't really work either.
