It's no lie, guys from India have a hard time but we've had some success stories in the past. It is possible to succeed but it takes patience.

All those places are number games. Talk to one hundred girls and you get a date with 2 or 3. Then if you are lucky you get something better with one.

If your plan is to talk with just a few girls then you are just trying to become rich by buying lottery tickets.

I was just there!! And have good stories for you!

Only 2 weeks..but here are my thoughts

Japan bars, restaurants, lounges are NOT very condictive for meeting/ talking to strangers.
Some guys who are super aggressive can approach girls anywhere regardless of what others think and can have success on trains starbucks any bars etc.

Im social but not super aggressive... but here are my top 3 places

1. Standing bars that are like 75%-80% full. I saw on more than one occasion girls standing alone drinking alone.. when its kind of full its easy to position yourself close without looking like you r trying too hard.

2. Lounge: r2 supperclub. We have a ton of these types of places here in toronto... western style classy fancy bar/lounge easy to chat up locals. I did a lot of research but couldnt fimd any more places like r2 supper!!

3. Similar to R2 supperclub but more of a restaurant setting is Rigolettos in roppongi hills complex. At night in the bar area it becomes very lively and packed! Easy to meet people

It is kinda understood that most western women (not all) are free lance work at R2. Within two minutes of talking to a girl you can assess wether she is an escort or not by the dressing and flow of conversation. So it should not be much of an issue if you drop the escort bomb.

I'm not sure how they should convey it with clothing either? This is a supper club so most girls wear party dresses. You dont wanna dress too slutty because you dont wanna look cheap.

I suppose they cut the crap after being in converstion for a while and actually mention the amound they are hoping for, because its very unlikely that Japanese undercover cops would hang out in R2 trying to meet girls, and unlikely they could charge the girls with anything.

But yeah, personally I'm concerned about guys giving a negative reaction...

Yeah, R2 seems mostly western guys...

No. I went there more than once and i chatted up a lot of people. I didnt meet any freelance girls.. japanese or foreign. I dont know if thats the right place for it these days... if i imagine having met someome there looking for a client...id be very put off... it would seem very out of place considering the venue and crowd. But thats just my opinion! Why dont you take a few friends and swing by for few drinks?? Not to work but just refamiliarize your self with the place, crowd and vibe

It used to be one of THE famous spots for this together with oak door. But indeed, i have visited both already and seen very little action.

Definitely not the kind of place i hang out for fun though, nor is any other place in Roppongi. I live in the Shinjuku area so if i want to go to a bar i can go anytime and basically walk home so no need to worry about getting back.
But Roppongi does have this rich people vibe that makes it kind of an interesting prospect for work.

Well I know each guy has their own successful way they approach.

Mine just happens to be aggressive, fast and direct.

Actually, I have had women in the US and other countries say things like this to me, but it is rare. Most of the time they are friendly and at least willing to talk with me.

My approach definitely works out a lot better in Asia (tried Japan, China, South Korea, Mongolia, Tibet, Laos and Thailand).
