I guess you can do that in the US, but you would be hard-pressed to do that in Europe if the guy decides to appeal against being fired. I'm not sure about Japanese law here, but from what I read it's really favorable for the employee, IF he actually goes to court.

In a broader sense however I can't disagree with you, It's a serious lack of judgement.

Correct. It is almost as hard to get rid of the trash as in some parts of Ye Olde Europe. Nonetheless there are Japanese solutions to this problem:
  1. Assign the person to complete shit duties at reduced pay. Repeat until they quit on their own.
  2. Pay them off to quit.
Any halfway competent Japanese HR manager already has experience in these matters.

I thought Nana is mainly "ladyboys", when i went to Thailand i went to a bar in that place where very pretty "ladyboys" were dancing on stage in bikinis. Most of the girls in bars and on the street there looked this way.
