Better than expected, but my expectations were very low. Not too different from their usual meat patties. But then again in burgers chains joints can we even call that meat, to start with?

To be fair, McDonald's really does use 100% beef in their burger patties. They just overcook and oversalt it, and basically destroy any goodness that was in it.

I assume other fast food chains are essentially the same. Perfectly fine ingredients, systematically ruined in a way that only industrial preparation can achieve.

Try Teddy's in Harajuku.....pretty decent burger if I say so myself............

I haven't had Teddy's in a while but it's good. Never been to one in Japan though but if it's like the ones stateside a bit on the pricey side but worth it IMO.

Very occasionally when I'm low, I drop by Shake Shack in Yuracuho, the burger is quite eatable, but it's better than Prozac. It brings me memories from my good time in New York.

Got my second Moderna shot yesterday, but side effects didn’t really kick in til today. Fever, chills, headache, body aches, the works. Gonna be a long day at work :dead:

Actually PhilSB finds it ridiculous too so we decided to have a super cheap and corny Vday dinner at my place. I’m very proud of the mussels heart.

Even the wine is adequate to pair such dinner ... a rosé. Same color what you are going to taste later. À votre santé!

thanks . Actually we got the other dessert at aperitif. To keep with the corny theme the BGM was sirupy Disney songs played on the piano. And then a Adam Sandler / Drew Barrymore movie coz we’re intellectuals

This happened in the US yesterday, and it’s serious!

A friend got his second injection of the Covid-19 vaccine at a designated vaccination centre. He then started to have blurred vision on his way home.

Back at home, he immediately called the vaccination center for advice. He asked whether he should go see his doctor or get hospitalised.

The nurse at the station where he received his injection told him to urgently return to the vaccination center, so he can pick up his eyeglasses that he left on the chair.
