The Next US President is....

"He's back." Another Monday miracle. This is not an SNL tweet......it is his campaign tweet.

hollywoodian! :)
The helicopter thing and background music reminded me a bit Apocalypse Now’s beginning

@Keihan what are the chances this is all complete bullshit? boris johnson spiked in the polls when he went into ‘intensive care’ (complete bullshit, he mayve been in hospital but no way he was in ICU, you dont get out of ICU then wear a suit and make speeches couple days later)
Could trump be trying this as a Hail Mary? The timing (terrible debate, meliana tapes) is suspicious.

Unfortunately, I don't think this was a stunt. If it was, they pissed away a prime opportunity. Plus, if you look closely at his unmasked idiot appearance when he returned to the WH, he was completely winded after walking up to the balcony and his hands were shaking. He's genuinely sick but recovering quickly.

My honest opinion is that, again, he royally pissed away a prime opportunity. He could've used this situation as a campaign re-boot, could've done a complete 180 and possibly somewhat salvaged his swing-state prospects. Instead, this fucking idiot engages is even more risky behavior, flouts science, takes to Twitter to downplay COVID, tells everyone not to worry about the virus, brags that he feels better than "20 years ago" and then, to top it all off, decides to stall the stimulus negotiations until after the election, effectively destroying yesterday's massive stock market gains that followed his release from the hospital. He's basically doing everything necessary to ensure he loses in November.

At this point I'll have to concur with my friends in D.C. Trump is finished. Even a vaccine approval isn't going to save him. And then there was yesterday's rigged NBC "Townhall" with Joe Biden, where he was obviously not given the same drugs he had before last week's debate and was stuttering, losing his train of thought, going off on strange tangents (to the point the moderator had to step in and save him) and suffered from at least two or three obvious dementia spells. What a pathetic fucking election this will be. Hopefully Mike Pence can embarrass that stupid twat tomorrow.

On the bright side, opportunities are already opening up for guys like me. Operations are already underway to take on a President Harris in 2024, and that should be much more fun.

And now this announcement, which basically means FDA emergency approval for a vaccine won't come until after election day, most likely at the end of November. By all accounts and predictions, by that point our country will be witnessing one of the nastiest court battles in history, with both the Trump and Biden camps filing lawsuits and legal challenges and recount demands that will probably last into the new year and go all the way up to SCOTUS and probably end up in the streets. I just hope that in the midst of all that bullshit there are still adults in charge, somewhere, who will make sure I can get my fucking vaccination by spring.

All the flights where I'm from up till Sept are now around $900 or higher... I made a gamble and secured a flight a month back for mid spring at under $600. My hotel is the lowest rate i ever got for 7 days at 350 total. The room I can cancel the day before but the flight I cannot. Here's hoping things do open by then....

It looks like Biden can’t lose now barring some kind of disaster or major incident. Trump has lost the plot.

It will be interesting to see the voter turnout numbers. People who were voting for Biden - primarily because they hate Trump, have less incentive to go out and vote now because of the latest polling numbers.

I haven’t come across anyone who believes Biden will be a good President yet. What reason do people have to make the effort of voting for a deadbeat like Biden now?

What a shambles of an election. The Russians, Chinese and the rest will be enjoying it at least.

That's a pretty good price you scored, no matter what time of the year. I know the flights from here are still hovering around the $650 mark RT, but I believe the change fees have been eliminated for the time being so it wouldn't be too much of a problem to book now. I've got rooms booked for three possible itinerary iterations in February and March, and I always use Booking.com so cancellations are free. Oddly enough, my usual hotel in Tokyo is just as expensive as usual, if not a little bit pricier. Oddly enough, I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't be traveling again until next Fall.

Well, even Biden is admitting he'll basically be a temporary president. His short term will basically amount to The Sopranos Season 1, where Tony installs Uncle Junior as "boss" just to keep the senile old man happy and paint him as a target for the feds while Tony actually runs the gang from behind the scenes. The scary question is exactly who will be running the Biden admin. I've said it before, the most troubling thing about a Biden presidency is that a whole cadre of radical leftist activists have already infiltrated the Biden inner circle and are already dictating his campaign platform. If the leftists have successfully infected the entire Democratic establishment, and the Democratic party owns the WH, House and Senate (which they are projected to after November), they won't piss away this opportunity to "fundamentally transform" America like Obama did during his two years of outright party control in Washington. And they've made clear what their agenda is: criminalize political opposition, dismantle the Constitution (especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments), open borders and no more immigration laws or law enforcement, defunding law enforcement and military, legalizing third-trimester abortions, free shit for everyone who isn't white and/or successful and then a 90% tax rate on anyone who makes anything remotely resembling a good living.

But there is some hope. The upside to Biden's obsession with choosing a black, female running mate is that he probably chose the absolute worst black, female running mate in the country. Kamala Harris is smart, sharp and capable, but she's also an awful bitch with zero redeeming personality traits that everyone around her hates and couldn't even get to the first democratic caucus before her campaign imploded. People just don't like her. If she were a man, she'd be that one massive douchebag at the office that the rest of the office tries to ditch after work for drinks at the bar yet he just can't catch the hint and somehow always seems to find out about the get-together and invites himself to tag along. Even her own father can't stand her. And from a political operator's perspective, that creates a huge opportunity for a GOP comeback in 2024...which is why the campaign to unseat her in four years is already underway. I would also assume the RNC has begun plans for a "Tea Party" type movement in 2022 to take back Congress, like we did in 2010 when we destroyed Obama's hopes and dreams, whooped his ass and won back both houses.

So then the question is...who does the GOP enlist as its 2024 candidate? Mike Pence will be old news by then, and to be honest I don't think he wants the job. All the young, smart and capable guys (like Paul Ryan) have deserted D.C. for greener pastures and happier lives. Or do they try the "woman of color" strategy? All I know is, if they can convince Condoleeza Rice to throw her hat in, I'll come out of political exile to work that one.

yeah, he will probably surround himself with worse nutjobs than Bannon and Miller... :ROFLMAO:
(And appoint his son and daughter in law as advisers)

First time I have seen the Economist's poll aggregator fall below 10 percent: https://projects.economist.com/us-2020-forecast/president

It is not quite over yet:
- a candidate could die
- civil unrest could explode
- polls have been known to get it wrong
- voting( in person/postal) could be a monumental embarrassment
- litigation

... and the Apocalypse could start and Jesus’ second coming finally put an end to all this silliness

Some "operatives" having a little fun ...

BBC: "Trump's campaign has cheekily set aside a seat for the late West Coast rapper Tupac Shakur, after Harris named him as her favourite artist.
"We have left a ticket for Tupac Shakur," Trump's senior campaign adviser Jason Miller told reporters on a conference call on Wednesday.
"I'm personally more of a Biggie fan," said Miller, referring to the New York rapper Notorious B.I.G. with whom Tupac feuded.
The stunt is a reference to Harris' statement last month at a charity event that Tupac is her favourite living rapper. She had to be reminded by the moderator that Shakur, who went by the stage name 2Pac, died in 1996."

Assuming he retains his mental faculties, I'd like to see Mattis make a run for it.

Don’t believe Trump is out by any measure. He has a very loyal following. Who is the candidate who represents more what the average American wants.. It will be a tight race with fallout whomever wins. The nation is so divided at current.

Personally @ah toh gets my vote. Man works harder than Donny and Joe put together.

Jesus’ second coming
What's white and sticky and falls from the sky?

The coming of the Lord.

Oh wait, this isn't the dad jokes thread.....

first time Miller makes me smile (genuinely)
Thanks!
