Stateside service?

Many girls are out of work now because of backpage getting down and took a financial hit...
This is a sad fact, but clearly, a lot of the requests we get for ads are from people not being genuine about who they are or what they really offer. At least for TAG and Japan in general, this is keeping things a little cleaner... despite the negative financial impact this is having on those that really had been relying on BP previously.

Definitely, this is something i mostly meant for statesite.
Japan has other options still, and no risks like the states has.

A lot of the postings in the US aren't exactly honest about stuff either. But you are right that there's a lot of areas that really have no outlet for hobby advertising with Backpage and sites like ECCIE gone.

There's a lot of good information posted from the provider point of view at https://twitter.com/CompanionHonest

Previous twitter link mentions that CloudFlare is kicking off a bunch of hobby sites that violate their Terms of Service - this probably explains why aampmaps is down, because I know they were on CloudFlare previously.

Interesting. Even I did not expect that - yet.

I'm a little surprised it hadn't happened already, to be honest. I've also heard through the grapevine that other sites might start shadow banning or otherwise 'filter bubbling' hobby related content, which probably means if you do a twitter search for 'escort' in your area you may not get many results. I just did a few test searches on Twitter and I'm getting some results, although I'm not sure if that number is the usual number I'd get.

Losing Cloudflare won't break a site's back, but it sets the tone for other CDNs. (Use KeyCDN, cheap and in Switzerland.) I am astounded how quickly the fear of the law has already reached a rather generic level of the Internet.

Can any experts here offer opinions as to whether this is a permanent change (meaning prior experiences will never come back), or might we see a return to the old days? In the early 2000s massage ads were abundant in every US city paper and the quality was excellent, then it went downhill around 2010-2012 and deteriorated steadily after that, culminating in the latest crackdown. Right across the border, Canadian men live in paradise. Their massage forums (http://massageplanet.net/toronto-massage-review.f18/) brim with thousands of hot and high-quality options, from massage offices to escorts to anything you can think of. You can literally google "erotic massage" in any Canadian city and Google Maps will come back with plenty of results.
e.g.
http://www.flirtspa.ca/
https://www.alluremassage.ca/
http://www.minxspa.ca/
...etc. the volume and quality of options is astounding. Is there a chance of a repeal of SESTA/FOSTA at some point? Has anyone seriously considered leaving the US and moving to Canada or Europe? Alternatively, has anyone considered some kind of regular travel (it needs to be for a plausible reason) outside the country? I wish I could travel, but I have no plausible explanation for why I'm traveling alone, e.g. to Canada. This has triggered some suspicion and detention at airports when I tried to do it.

As a single man, my options for sexual relief are now non-existent unless I travel. I've tried "civil" dating like Tinder but the only few available women are ugly, otherwise there's nothing at all, the dating scene in the US doesn't work either and there's a shortage of dateable women.

Maybe you could buy a nice camera and say you are a photographer?

Even before this law, I've often thought the action would move to sugaring. If you can't afford that, this might be a good time to re-focus on your career.

Yes. The more reason to visit your reliable regular providers again and check in on them.

A warning, the undercover police are definitely messing around on seeking arrangement sometimes

Well, this is a Japan forum. I guess most people on here live or travel regularly to Japan.

Hmm... It would be nice to hear details.

Otoh, if you really think american girls are ugly, it might be better to move to a foreign country.

I don’t know if there are cops posing to be girls, but i can imagine there are.

It seems that some girls are getting arrested though, which is especially a crisis for foreign students.
I’d advise to not discuss sexual favors too explicitly but maybe set up a free or travel expenses covered coffee meeting and take negotiations from there.

I'm a little surprised that the K-Girls market in the bay area is still relatively strong with CityVibe and AAMPMaps gone. A lot of the orgs have set up their own websites, but I haven't seen much dropoff in providers listed there, even showing new ones showing up. Apparently there were enough smart hobbyists like me that saw the writing on the wall and prepared before AAMPMaps went down. There's a lot of 'star' providers that are essentially UTR now because (to my knowledge) there isn't a site for them, but they are still seeing guys.

My guess is that there's plenty of regular guys that see several girls a week or sees the same girl for several hours (definitely not me) that keeps demand high enough to keep providers in place after losing the casual CityVibe traffic.

I randomly posted something about seeing a Kgirl on Whisper last week, and my inbox exploded asking me how I saw escorts these days after the 'apocalypse'. I referred most to switter.at.

Yes I am one of the regulars you are talking about and I don't need aampmap or cityvibe to be able to contact those K girls...The old-fashioned text messages will do. If your mobile number is on their whitelist then everything will be sorted out pretty easily.

Actually they seem to manage their whitelist quite well. I once heard of a guy who got recognized and accepted immediately after almost five years absent from their services.

Hey, i'm sure there is interesting p4p to be had in Saudi Arabia if you have the money and the right contacts.
I used to be working in Saudi and have actually heard of such a case, but it was extremely cost-ineffective, risky and uncommon.

People just go to Bahrain for the fun.

So how do you get on the whitelist if you've never gotten their contact info before?

Well I happened to be whitelisted by more than one (group of) agents. Here's my story:

Agent A (AMP based in Vegas): got their contact number from random online ads, cross-checked in TER and found some good reviews on a local discussion board as well, so SMSed them for appointment, screened via SMS with some basic questions that involve no real personal information disclosure (they did ask quite exhaustively for my name, race, age, profession, name of company, etc, but I made up everything except the race, and they didnt bother to verify at all);

Agent B (high end incall based in LA): got their contact info from a review on a local discussion board (not the same one mentioned above), contacted via Line (they also use Wechat and Kakao), very simple screening procedures as they took reference of my previous sessions with Agent A and Humaniplex, no personal info disclosure needed. BTW, this agent has a stable of top-notch Japanese young ladies, very rare in the states;

Agent C (AAMP based in Bay Area): I used to be a regular to one of the providers in Agent A, and exchanged Kakao number with her, until she went back to Korea. Later she returned to SF and started working for this new agent. I sort of automatically whitelisted this time as the result of 姫予約;

Agent D (Humaniplex Korean agent based in LA): it all happended on Humaniplex so everything went on quite smoothly. IMO Humaniplex is far better a screening platform than P411 or TER where no exposure of any personal info is ever necessary;

Agent E (Chinese incall based in Manhattan): saw their reviews in a Taiwanese review site, contacted via Wechat, no screening needed, plain and simple.

So how do you get on the whitelist if you've never gotten their contact info before?

Used to be that there were a few AAMP girls or AAMPs that didn't require references, and you could find ones that you were interested in on various boards (AAMPmaps, etc). Now there might be some that don't take references but not too many orgs are easy to come across. There's a few of them that are on switter.at, though.

The scene in New York has truly ramped-up during the past decade. However, with Back Page and Craig's List going down, that might put a dent in things. Utopia Guide was down for a few days; as was the case with Rub Maps. Spa Hunters remains offline -- both are back.

In general, in New York, there is quantity but not the quality that one finds in Tokyo - unless one is a Google Billionaire.
