I will level with you: I have never had so much sex with so many women (including transwomen) and cross dressers since I got married.

I mean, there are many reasons not to get married, but sex is not one of them.

Honestly, I'm not much into infidelity, but seeing how common it is here in Japan, especially with how sex works after marriage, it makes me really think.

I was worried about that but for a different reason with my first review here. It was for a massage shop in a smaller city where apparently there's a demand for more reviews for that city's offerings. If I mention the extra services a place might offer off menu, do I bring the type of attention that gets it shut down? A few years back, one Chinese bar brothel in the city got raided/shut down after word got out. There's also one Chinese massage brothel I frequent where the owner wants zero talk online, and she blames me for any online reports even though I never made any.
For larger areas like Yokohama and Kawasaki, I'd have zero concern but haven't really thought of reviewing as I usually just take what the shop offers and don't care about keeping the girl's info. Hell, I don't actually know any of the shop names either, just their location. Might make an effort from now on to review though as I like what this site offers.

The chances of the police scanning TAG for information are pretty low - there are plenty of Japanese boards out there.

The bigger risk is that you might be setting up expectations for other guys that those off menu services are standard (when they often aren't), leading to guys going in demanding services that they shouldn't even know about,

If the lady was going off menu on her own, you might be outing her to her boss - a fair number of the shops that are reviewed here also keep an eye on the reviews of their shops. A couple of ladies from Asian Feeling lost their jobs when someone here mentioned that they had received extra services, for example.

There are a lot of guys—even on this site—who are doing just that, though. And they have their reasons. If my wife or I have sex outside the marriage in a way that's not destructive to the marriage, then no big deal in my book. Also, the desire for sex between two people can decline but they can still have a strong and healthy marriage that's built on much more than who is banging who. Yes, as with many vices (work, gambling, gaming, hobbies, social outings, drinking, drugs), there's an increased risk of financial, health, or even legal problems but that's usually due to severity or addiction. A married couple in a healthy marriage can still safely indulge in vices either together or individually.

Edit: Will word me reviews differently from now and also ask if non Japanese speaking foreigners are welcome. At most soap lands I visited they explain rules in Japanese while showing the rules written in Japanese.
The fact that a non Japanese speaking foreigner can make a girl behind the counter at McDonald's loose it speaks volumes.

To get back to the main topic: I don't think there's too much to worry about with posts/reviews HERE, in ENGLISH, on TAG. I indeed worry about the occassional "one in one hundred" dumbass who reads a review but doesn't play by the rules, setting a bad example for others (even to the point of the dreaded "No more foreigners" etc).

But every time a worker has opened up to me about "other foreigners" and the like, it has always been the following two comments, across several types of workers and shops:

* They recently or in the past had a bad experience with a mainland Chinese customer, in a place where FS was absolutely off the table (pink salon, men's esthee, massage etc), where the Chinese customer got really mad becasue they wouldn't do FS. "C'mon, we can keep it a secret! I'll pay you more! How much more do you want! My money is good!! etc" basically ruining the session by trying to force FS. Because back in China money talks (if you pay enough eventually anyone will agree to whatever you want, rules be damned) and they just did not grasp that it didn't work that way in Japan. Then they get really mad at the worker for refusing money, thinking that the bribe isn't working Just because they're Chinese, etc. No kidding, this apparently happens a LOT.

* They had a bad experience with an Indian customer. I have even seen some worker profiles that have said things like "Q: Do you accept foreign customers? A: Yes, except for people from India" (!!!). This kinda baffled me, but then I started hearing from workers (again, if they opened up about a 'bad foreigner experience' or whatever during small talk) that they've had kind of a treatment like domination/being forced upon by men from India, enough that it's become "a thing"/"a stereotype". Attempting to force FS, really aggressive/abusive actions, domineering behavior, getting really angry at the worker if she doesn't comply, etc. Treating sex workers like trash, not like escorts. Makes me think that sex workers in India must really have it bad.

I've heard the above often enough that I feel a bit more in the clear as an English speaker from TAG. So wherever international punters are getting their news/info about shops in Mandarin or Hindi/Punjabi/etc; THOSE are the places that are problematic for not reinforcing comments, reviews etc with guidance on how punters need to punt in Japan.

Those problematic "Chinese/Indians" (I put that in quotes, because Of Course it's not All Chinese or Indians) from the stories I heard above may be reading these forums in English, but in general I've seen enough care and sensitivity, and straight-up warnings and reminders (how to treat and respect the workers) here on TAG: That aside from that 1 in 100 asshole, the folks who are learning enough about these places here on TAG to enter them, have already passed through a gauntlet of reviews, comments, and forum culture that helps them understand what is and is not acceptable, and how the workers deserve to be treated.

I don't worry (much) about a punter who reads reviews here screwing up a good thing at a foreign-friendly business when the borders open back up; I'm more fearful of the busloads of crass mainland China new-money dudes tearing through districts en masse, treating Japanese workers like bribe-able slaves:

"Hey I'll pay you 5 man! 5 man should be fine for FS! What, 5 man isn't enough?? Are you turning down my money? My money is good! What, you don't take filthy Chinese money, you bitch?"
"Uh, sir? This is a Wendy's Gindako..."

So keep on reviewing.

One of my first experiences was with a provider who was ok with anyone but German men. I also was friends with a college gal- though not a provider - who was exclusive (sexually) to Indian men. I don’t think there is one combination that will check all the boxes… Well, I take that back - if you are half Japanese half Korean naturalized to and living in Japan and speak native Japanese - yeah you’re not gonna have any issues anywhere. 😂😂😂

It's pretty common for shops to ask your nationality/ethnicity because as CharlieSimms has laid out, while there may be stereotypical preferences, individual providers can have the most idiosyncratic standards for who they will/won't accept depending on all sorts of things. And sometimes if you can make a positive impression on the staff (face-to-face, not usually over the phone), that can rarely provide the slight nudge to get you over the hump, as it were.
