Value and danger of reviews

Without TAG, how many of us can confidently say we would have ever stepped into this world?
Probably a decent number as I know I'm not the only old dog that found his way here. Lot of places around the internet to gleam info if you're looking. What I notice about TAG, thanks to the vetting, is that respect for the shop rules and providers is important as opposed to other areas around the internet where discussion seems to circumvent rules or trick providers.

I haven’t written anywhere near as many reviews since October.

This is a reason why.

We have to have some sort of vetting or means to keep this information controlled if we are going to be able to share fuzoku information.

Without TAG, how many of us can confidently say we would have ever stepped into this world? I can say for sure I’d still been jerking off to JAV porn feeling miserable.

Yeah, that's basically the point. I tried P4Pon my own in Tokyo before I found this forums.......lol, experiences were pretty subpar. My first really good experiences were nothing recommended here on the forum, but it gave me such a valuable guideline. Only reason I write reviews is because I am thankful to all the guys that did the same thing years before me. Best source of information to understand how things work.....and everybody is super helpful if you ask directly.

I can and did. Perhaps because I began when there was no such thing as streaming porn. It was either go out and engage the world - largely by oneself - or be a very unhappy and lonely guy. I realize all older people consistently say the same thing about the newer generations - but there are a lot of lazy and entitled fucks (largely male) now coming into or having recently come into “adulthood”. As we have discussed separately, I do believe in sharing but perhaps lack the evangelical spirit you have about spreading the gospel to the masses. Now I understand more why given the differences in where we were at when starting to engage TAG.

And I understand that, but again, TAG made the world a better place for me. We wouldn’t have had that delightful conversation and developed a friendship without it.

And when I read these things sometimes you gotta remember man, I am the same generation as that underconfident, lazy fuck. What got me off my feet was having a deep understanding of the Japanese language long before even starting here.

To put this in perspective, I might as well be that same idiot fucking everything up for everyone if this was SAG (Seoul Adult Guide.)

That would be a fucking hilarious site name.

I think it boils down to a huge variety of different factors. When it comes to "deep understanding of the Japanese language" I most probably suck balls. My Japanese is very mediocre, won't win me any prices....but I think I am kinda good at reading the air. Kinda wiggle my way into places where I shouldn't be because I know how to behave.....and I get a pass. No fucking clue why 🤣

...but that is exactly the thing. I was lucky more than once, but it is important to kinda value that. If things don't go your way keep your cool and swallow it. There is no value in pissing people off.

Not to rub the salt, but let's pull back the knee-jerk reaction a little on this.
We do not know the full story on what happened with that one specific provider (nobody does).
However, we will try and investigate to figure out what happened.
If one of you actually gets the detailed reason, then forward it onwards so we can evaluate the situation.

For long as TAG has been around, there will always be positives and negatives.
The good far outweighs the negatives even if one of those bad results seems monumental at the time it happens...
Reviews are already mostly restricted to members only (for reading).

We as a community have certainly been an influence with shops that are opening up more to foreigners.
This has been good and bad, but still much more good than bad.

More later on this matter.

Yeah, probably better to sleep a night over it and see if we can find out about some of the real reasons tomorrow.....

I haven't written a review in several weeks.
I was pumping out 4-6 new reviews per month since November last year. Just take a guess why I've stopped.

I called one shop and the representative called me back a few minutes later to see if I understood fuzoku rules. The girl was so damn nervous when she we met she got a cup of water and I lightly massage her shoulders.
She ended up being an amazing session and likes the foreign pee pee now. I plan to book her again several times as she is literally a goddess.

As much as I love TAG and am eager to share, places like this above are still relatively new and sensitive to gaijin, and I want them to have absolutely perfect interactions until I am certain/satisfied; and with the borders opening I have to wonder if I will ever share at all...
I usually posted quite often and that got me into some troubles, because many newcomers started to book the same girls that I usually dated and acted like complete jerks. So I suffered the consequences as many stores became closing the doors to foreigners.

Many guys DM me and asked me about stores and girls, I try to answer plain and simple. As I like to advice new guys in the Fuzoku world.

I keep a roster of 4 to 5 girls, that I have been a regular, so we build a trust relationship, we meet outside the store working hours so, they charge me cheaper and there is no FS restrictions.
No surprises (bait and switch or scams), no clock watching and already know what I will get.

My profile says I have been a member almost six years now. My p4p history in Japan then precedes that by around two decades. :p

But also the reviews I have read in TAG has made it around 20 times better.

Managed to sleep on this topic and have a few cents…

I don’t doubt the veterans here and their ability to navigate on their own. But I know for a fact I’d have never walked into the Orihime soapland back in October 2021 if I hadn’t read and learned what happens in these establishments in meiji’s immaculate thread on this very site.

Meanwhile, I can think of three or thirty idiots in my life who have never read TAG asking touts in the street why they can’t have sex with the girls and attempting to use a race card to gain access. I can also see a few others learning the game, but without good guidance get stuck in a high cost shit scam with a lousy provider. I mean, we see these kinds of questions on a daily basis here now, and we manage to help a brother just trying to get laid like the rest of us far more than we lose to a jackass ruining it for us.

Despite how frustrating it is to see ladies turning a blind eye to us like this, I am still of the opinion that sharing this information is the best way to build better trusting relationships.

That's been a thing since the TAG site upgrade in September.

But I could display them fine until from a few days or so ago…. Hmmmm
I'm a bit confused - They are or are not displaying? The emoji coding is not specific for iPhone but supposed to present a generalized/similar emoji for each device with the same utf encoding. That all said, there is a fall-back system in place in case one set of Emoji's fail. It's possible that you may get different versions depending on the network or just simply an issue with an upstream provider. I will take a look to see if there any specific issue occurring and report back.

I just realized I am having the same issue. I think the blue question marks are supposed to be emoji.

I am using an iPhone 13.

I have to say that this forum has given me almost all the information and help I needed to scout the scenes in Japan.
My profile now says 10 years and although I have only reviewed a very small number of places I've been to I have found so much useful information.
I still remember 10 years ago wandering around Susukino for my first couple of attempts, with appalling Japanese, to trying at smaller places like Beppu and Hakodate and now just enjoying what goes around Tokyo. There are always going to be pros and cons and yes a lot of the reviews are OTT but the resource is miles ahead of what any other site or information source gives. There are so many more much-less-respectable forums and opinions on Japanese sites though, so it's not like this is the only website. It's a niche.
And I still love JAV anyway. If Aimi Yoshikawa offered extra services at her kyaba shop I'd be there in a hurry.
