Which clubs would you recommend

I actually ended up in a Hub earlier this evening, and it was surprisingly filled with young hot women.
The one next to Seibu SHinjuku station, for interested parties.

Unfortunately, I was with my coworkers....
Oh wow, we were literally one-half block away from that Hub you were at tonight.

Whatever happened to good old Rigoletto in roppongi hills on a Friday night? Trashy ladies looking for a desparate Goldman Sachs dude but more likely getting a Google nerd?
Google moved to Shibuya, but Rigoletto still has a pulse. The vibe got killed before Covid when they got rid of smoking before the planned Olympics. Nowhere near what it was, but it fights on. Their prior 2-4am closing time has been taken in 11p-1am. So the crowd is more of an ‘pleasant drinks for evening out, but catch the last train’. Nowhere near what it was.

The biggest missed opportunity at Roppongi Hills is Tusk. Years ago it was called Heartland which was incredible. After the Lehman shock, it never recovered. Mid twenty-something gold diggers where beers were 500 yen. Oh, the irony.

I remember Heartland in the 'glory' days. I didn't drink much at all, but given the circles I was in at the time, it was one of the usual stops.
Most everything in Roppongi is either a shadow of its former self or it's just gone with the wind....

Sounds cool. But what's wrong with the hub these days ?

Weren't they good spot always worth visiting in the past? The post from CharlieSims implied that this has changed though? If that's true I am sorry for mentioning that unfortunate topic

I just have few questons. Since when going to language school in Japan for 4th time btw (the frist time in the op was a typo sorry for that) makes one a creep? Is trying to study Japanese creepy these days? I did not know that.

And who said I am after teens or realy tween? I have explicitly asked if there are any clubs to go for an older dude like me without sticking out.

Not creepy to study japanese at all, but there is a clearly a white guy "studying in Japan" to pick up j-girls who almost blindly love white guys kinda thing that women know about and hate (well guys are jealous and hate as well). So is it creepy no, but you'll have haters but screw it pickup hot girls and enjoy.

I think late 30's is prime club time -- but as others said, if you don't got youth & looks you gotta have great charm or $$$$ to spend. An 37 yo avg lookin white guy english teacher in a Ginza club - forget about it. There must be places for older dues yes.. let me know I may swing by and check it out too!

But on the flip side, this is Asia -- its not NY, you can be 60 and talk up a 25yo and nobody will look but really care, I see it all the time all over Asia. In NY you'll be publically shamed by the women, laughed out or escorted by security unless you are famous.

A good looking guy with passable social skills can get laid if so inclined. A foreigner offers a somewhat different proposition but that it is a categoric advantage is pure bullshit. I don’t think foreigners appreciate how young -or not young even - attractive and/or dapper Japanese males so inclined actually fuck. On average more than his foreign peer - of course this is my experience with Japanese fakkubois I know so subjective.

Japan is not quite the challenge of a Korea but Thailand, Phil, Vietnam etc are totally different. I think the issue is less about Japan being in “Asia” than how the US has gone off the deep end. In Europe I would expect the same - ojisans can talk up a younger lady just fine without Karen or her dumb male meathead equivalent playing the ass.

Like any bar, the regulars age with the store. Most hubs skew towards older regulars these days, the younger crowd prefers a different sort of venue.

Thanks for the info. I think the best thing is to check out man different venues to just enjoy the vibe there and see what is going to happen without having a plan to go just specific venues.

Yes. Many coming to this site for purposes of planning a trip as a tourist tend to overthink way too much. I agree it’s better to be fluid and just try a lot of different things. The cost of a boring bar is at the most 1 drink and 10 minutes. Or nothing if you just walk in and walk out. Meaningless level of investment in the big picture.

Sometimes pulling the card of being relatively new to the country and not speaking much or none at all (Japanese) and sticking to English is the better way to go.
"Practice my English with a native speaker" still has value here as an ice-breaker and broker of opportunity.

its great to be in your thirties in Tokyo, you got gals in their 20s who want you, and the sexy milf crowd who can also rationalize being with you... which lets face it, have a longer 'sexiness' expiration date than their western counterparts.

Ill be back up north in Tokyo for the week. Hopefully I can check out the old haunts (Middle shibuya hub, rigeletto, whatthedickens, whatever took heartland's spot, antenna america and so on...)
