That's a very broad statement, and I don't really understand the logic.
IMO, it takes emotional security and courage to call people out for intolerance, especially when those people are parts of historically powerful groups.
"Political correctness" has been demonized and perverted to be used as an instant dismissal of objections by oppressed groups.
For the most part PC terms are a fig leaf, something to let "good people" sleep well at night feeling that they've "done something" about the problem.
I've lived with
- "key kike, wanna chase a penny"
- "Jew boy, show me your horns"
- people casually calling me Christ killer
- etc
For most of the Commonwealth, it's a relatively vulgar term for the female genitalia, akin to how Americans view the word cunt.
Yeah, y'all really do talk funny!
