Sexually Transmitted Disease (std) Talk

Remember to record everything too; as if you managed to get HIV by receiving a blowjob you'll be the first one in the world and all the doctors will want to study you.
lol, I suggested getting a hiv test because there was fs included. Regardless of whether it’s with or without condom we should get tested for hiv.

No FS involved :) Closest we came was sumata, and my whole penis was covered with her juices so..

Deep throating is usually the reason why men get gonorrhea. HPV and Herpes is caused by skin contact. Others are caused by bleeding gums.
I’m glad that deepthroat isn’t all the hype in Japan like it is overseas.
There are other ways of giving a BJ that are often more pleasurable for both parties but the west doesn’t seem to want to recognize that.

Ohhh.. ohh. I see.
I like how you spill the beans one by one lol.
Well if it was a “juicy” sumata.. it’s still risky so get a general std check up set i would say. :/

Yeah but Japan has “sumata” which has its own risks.
I’m also happy anal sex isn’t very popular in Japan because itai :(

Well, the time I replied there was only BBBJ, but it seems the situation is evolving.

I wonder if we eventually get to the bareback anal too. Which by the way hurts only if not done properly. The basic rule is to use way more lube you ever think is necessary. And then add more.

Yes I tried lube of course. It really hurts. This has been the case for years so I just gave up.

Sorry @MediPlank for “assuming your p4p”. :D I just thought fs was included because I’m a dirty minded person. (I thought maybe you don’t openly want to mention FS) Well since you had a juicy sumata std testing is not a bad idea anyway.

Unless you had some tears or your urethra was wide open, your risk is still very low.
It looks like we all agree that the OP has a low risk of getting HIV from the activity that he has described in this thread, but that the risk of infection is greater than zero because BB Sumata puts his penis in contact with vaginal secretions. It's a good idea to get tested - especially if the he hasn't been in the habit of getting tested before now.
It's true that the risk would be higher if the OP had torn or broken skin - for example herpes outbreak would elevate the risk. I'm not sure what you are getting at with "wide open urethra." HIV transmission doesn't require infected fluid to enter the urethra. It is possible to pass an HIV infection when secretions from the infected person come into contact with the epithelial cells of another person - such as the inner foreskin in uncircumcised men. (Scientists think that this may be the reason for a lower incidence of HIV infection among circumcised men in studies):

It is hard to argue the risk would be zero or lower :D but I would put it to around one in a million category. And that is of course in the case where the other party has the virus in the first place.

HIV is very difficult to catch. That means you need to have lots of the virus in you before you have a chance of getting it. Therefore many doctors will tell you need unprotected penetration to be able to get infected in practise.

Regardless it is always good idea to get tested.

Thankfully I got a message today that the test was all good. Plus the white spots are pretty much gone after daily use of ointment :v
White spots were some kind of fungus, could have gotten it because my willy was most likely washed with the hotel's strong soap, and my willy doesn't react very well to strong soap and gets sore. That, or I was just very unlucky with something.
I will regardless bring my own soap next time so it won't happen again :/

Anyway, thankfully it's good now.

and my willy doesn't react very well to strong soap and gets sore

I always enjoy saying told ya so, but this time I enjoy it even more than normally. Great to hear you are good and notice to other new guys, not all changes in your willy are lethal. Don't freak out but just get tested.

I was wondering how often one should get tested for stds if there are no symptoms? Should it be a yearly thing?

Depends on your frequency of activity and your proclivities... are you hitting pink salons twice weekly, or covered service only once a month, picking up random girls in the Hub two-three times a week and barebacking them, or having anonymous fun every weekend in a 2 chome club?

The more risky your behaviour, the more often you should test.

Thanks for the replies! I go to Japan about once a year and hit up health and soap about 5-6 times each time. I'm embarrassed to say that I only just got tested recently for the first time for fear that I might have caught something since my first p4p experience about three years ago. I was pleasantly surprised that I tested negative for everything as I was somehow sure that I had at least caught gonorrhoea and/or chlamydia. Would three months after coming back from Japan be a good time for testing?

I’d say every 3 months for regular mongers.
If you are afraid of needles or want to keep the costs low, maybe a swab test every 3 months and a blood test once a half year or once a year.

Some diseases like chlamydia often dont show symtoms even in men and while its very easy to cure its dangerous if left untreated for long and a year is pretty long already.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, having just returned from Japan a few days ago.

I didn't give much thoughts about STDs in my life before as I was a virgin before I visited Japan, but after reading some of the forums in my local country about STDs and P4Ps, I'm somewhat getting a little paranoid, and wonder how safe it exactly is?

So I visited Tokyo and the Kansai region, having a p4p encounter in each of Tokyo,Osaka and Kyoto. In these encounters I did FS with condom, received BBBJ as well as BJ with condom, as well as french kisses. Can I take it that as long as I don't have BBFS I should be relatively safe? Also my encounters were not those cheap ones from cheap places, all 3 were relatively expensive with much reviews from TAG (if it makes a difference).

Now I'm really hooked onto p4p in Japan, I'm wondering what are some of the precautions that I should/can take in order for me to enjoy with a peace of mind in my next visit to Japan.

As long as you have FS, I don’t recommend going years without testing for HIV and Syphillis even if you wear a condom. If you are planning to become a hobbyist, maybe getting a check up at least twice a year is a good start. Honestly it depends on how often you have sex. Escorts get or are expected to get monthly checkups as a basis for comparison.

Regardless of how “high class” an establishment is, BBBJ is still risky, even if it’s a small risk. Giving uncovered blow jobs to 20 men and 200 men in a month are both in the risky category. I would say definitely stay away if you have a significant other, or intolerance for antibiotics. You may ask the girl for CBJ instead. If you’re okay with the risk, and prefer BBBJ, you should get checkups after each uncovered contact. Girls get mandatory monthly check ups in establishments, and independents schedule these on their own. Make sure you and the escort use mouth wash, to avoid bacteria fest.

I recommend HPV vaccination for people who are planning to become regular mongers or escorts.

Oral herpes is already contracted by half of the world population. Even if you never had a break out, doesn’t mean that you dont have it. It’s pretty pointless to worry about oral herpes unless you’re planning to live your life as a monk :) However in Japan we usually take shower with clients to have a general genital checkup. If someone has sores, which has never happened to me personally, it’s better to cut contact and explain the reason to a client without hurting their dignity. Sometimes Ingrown hairs or birthmarks can be mistaken for venereal disease, but genital herpes comes in groups of lesions which makes it easy to identify the outbreak.

Yeah, certainly if you pay more money for your encounters then you won't have any problems with STDs. That's basic medical science, the viruses don't spread if there is enough money in the room.

But how about getting tested anyway, that's the only way to know in real life.
